when you realize concaf is trash

Going forward it's essential for both USA and Mexico that a combined Americas tournament becomes a permanent fixture on the FIFA calendar.

CONMEBOL holds all the cards but the prospect of extra tournament revenue is an incentive.

Both federations also have the money and influence to put big enough indiscernible brown paper bags in the right hands in order to get it done.

All we can do is pray.

It's only way US and Mexico will get better.

That current CONCACAF tournament is just a glorified prelude to a US-Mexico final, who've both just been demolished by South American teams. So them constantly playing each other in the finals won't help them get to a new level. Also, I'm hoping that it would help Canada get better. Jamaica too.

These German clubs are hijacking winger deals it seems man man :lol :{

Apparently Bayern is trying to pry Sané away from Pep last second while DiMarzio says that Embolo's off to Shalke. Probably the best and least pressure filled move for his developement in the short term at his young age but I'm still kind of salty :lol

Guess Mkhitaryan is our best bet for a solid RW option this summer after all...8o

No thanks don't want mkhtrash at my club. Woody might as well double down and go after James if bvb wants that asking price.

and I don't think we are really interested reminds of Pedro and otamendi where agents and papers are talking while United is incognito getting someone else like bailly and martial. Majority of United moves under woody the past two windows have really been discrete, he learned hard from the moyes period.

I seriously wanna know what's made someone that had 23 goals and 32 assists in 52 appearences last season "trash"? Thats a better season than Reus has ever had and and that's more assists than our threatening RW combo last season from Mata/Jesse who combined for 16 goals and 11 assists...he must be doing some things right :rolleyes

Psk had that rant against him and now everyone's going all truthserum when talking about him :lol

Dude is less of a risk than some of those younger and more expensive targets.

I agree with you though about things being different under Mou. We probably won't know for sure who's getting signed until the week of most probably like for Bailly so it could be all talk coming from his agent but we desperately need a quality RW and I don't know if Mane for 40m+ is worth it. Let Klopp and Pool do that :lol

Miki is definitely a good player and would be a big improvement for United. I don't see many better options available on the market.

I don't like all the drama surrounding this transfer at all, but I hope that United will sign him.

My opinion about Mkhitaryan is based solely on having watched him for years. He's great against weaker competition but largely ghost in big games or against great teams. If he goes to United to play for Jose, he's going to fare no better than Mata or Oscar.

I can't believe Jose is even looking at him because he likes his players to play defense & Mkhitaryan doesn't really do anything to contribute defensively. Quite frankly, I think he would be a diasaster transfer purchase for United at this juncture.

Edit - A lot of his success is due to the the partnerships he's had with the great play & push forward from Dortmund's back line & having things pushed along by Gundogan... Mkhitaryan gets to run forward with the likes of Reus & Aubameyang.

The system suits Mkhitaryan to a tee largely because of who he has around him. Not to be an insult, but he ain't got that at United & the style of play is waaaay different.

This. The he disappears in big games argument feels unfair to me. Sorry but United don't need Mkhitaryan in big games(if they have any :p) to score or assist, just be a threat and have the potential to make that pass or play. Has the speed, dribbling and shot to be a huge threat on the wing. Mkhitaryan>Mane

He will add a different style and flair of game to the BPL. He can also fill in as a #10 too. I don't see how any team aren't interested in a player like him. If he wasn't Armenian he'd be extremely hyped up

City and BVB have reached an agreement for Aubameyang but contract demands are stalling the move. [@FabrizioRomano]

Aubameyang's agent is asking for around €10m in transfer fees if the move goes ahead, however City are currently refusing to pay such fees
I don't know what to believe anymore this is why I always say just wait and see...

But the funny thing about this gossip is that its not Aubameyang's fee's apparently but the agents fees dude wants 10m himself in transfer fee's

With the amount of fight they've been putting up lately, don't see BVB selling both Obama and Mikhi this summer man,its probably one or the other. Definitely don't know what they'd be thinking sell Obama now and allowing Mikhi to leave on a free next year...

Pep making chess moves.

Aguero and Batman...with Silva and KDB going forward :x Birdman Hand rub (and waiting for Gundogan to get healthy)

The only thing I can imagine is that BVB wants to cash out on them now while they can more Mikhi since next year he would be leaving on a free instead of Obama but this was his best year so they could see this as the best time to move him too for a large fee. Thats the only reason I can imagine them wanting to move both of them is to just cash out and retool like they always do now.

At what point does BVB not need to act as a feeder team they're the #2 team in the in a top tier league. I think it hurts their prestige to always be selling their top players.

After overcoming a financial mess 10 years ago (with help fro Bayern too), Dortmund is one of the best run clubs in Europe right now (from a sporting & financial perspective). They don't have the revenue streams like Bayern & other big clubs so they have to make do with what they have.

They may not be able to keep some of their players (or coaches now), but they do an excellent job of getting talented players & keeping the club competitive. They also have another excellent young coach-manager in Tuchel who look to be there for a while to help guide the team on the pitch.

8o Spurs rumored to sign ex Barca B striker Antonio Sanabria for €15 mill?!?! He's played well since moving onto Roma (then loaned to Sporting Gijon). He bagged 11 goals this past campaign for Sporting. Interesting to see how he further develops under Poch. Might be the answer to a second striker behind 'Arry...

Ancelotti: “Ødegaard's signing was a public relations exercise”

"We hope you will achieve great success at Real Madrid. You have an extraordinary talent and we have great hopes for you”. Those words from Emilio Butragueño during Martin Ødegaard's official presentation on 23 January 2015 still reverbarate around Valdebebas. The teenager arrived with a tag of a child prodigy, but after 49 games in the Second Division B (and two goals) and two games with the first team, Ødegaard has yet to set the world alight. Ancelotti, one and a half years after the Norwegian was signed, has shed some light on the move in his latest book Quiet Leadership: “When Florentino buys a Norwegian footballer, you simply have to accept it. Furthermore, the president decided that he would play three games with the first team as a public relations exercise”.

The coach believes that Ødegaard's signing was a marketing manoeuvre and adds that he was not interested in the player: “He could be the best player in the world, but I don't care because he was not a player who I asked for. That signing was a to do with PR”. Madrid and the player are now looking for an outlet - a loan spell in the Premier Leaguefor the new season (Ødegaard's father prefers a move to Germany or England). The 17-year-old will not remain playing in Spain's third tier - the Segunda División B. His contract with Madrid states that he must train with the first team and only play matches with Castilla. “We are all convinced that he is going to become an important player for Real Madrid. We are looking to the future and I think he has quality and intelligence”, Ancelotti said the time, accepting the signing and handing the player two games with the senio side.

You gotta love these Irish blokes... They dented the roof of the car when celebrating in France & they work to get the dent out. They're also shoving money into the car window to help pay for damages in case they can't get the dent out...

:rollin "All the boys in green, fix the car!, All the boys in green, fix the car!, All the boys in green, fix the car!..."

I loved this from the comments on the YT post, "A drunk Irish fan can probably do more with a hair bobble, some pritt stick, and some ordinary houshold bleach than an engineering graduate can do with a million quid."
