@ that Utd/Martial story... hope it won't have a negative longterm impact, but looks like Utd could have handled it better.

Mahrez just won the PL, he doesn't want to go to Arsenal where that might  not happen again in his career.

Let's be honest here man.

heggsy heggsy please don't hate me for this.

In the immediate foreseeable future i.e. next 2 seasons, Mahrez chances of winning another EPL title are probably marginally better with Arsenal than with Leicester.

I know, I know, 5000:1, and tbh it is the most thoroughly earned [emoji]128081[/emoji] I've ever seen in sport.

Mahrez has a better chance winning 4th place with Arsenal than Leicester in 2 years
Other than that Arsenal isn't going to win the league with Man U, City, or Chelsea having an arms race :lol

I have a little faith man. I still blame physio staff more than Arsene's transfer policy for the lack of silverware.

I honest to God thought they were gonna do it that 13/14 season.

Trouble at OT? Some Reddit posters are saying Martial stopped following United on social media & the last post he had was a black & white pic of him in color with the #9 United shirt.

Disrespected mans who put in work. Not like he was a waste man, he actually put in work. Stay Classy United.

I mean yeah but..its Zlatan man.

Word :lol

I doubt anyone was gonna tell dude he couldn't have his choice in number :lol.

Its probably only gonna be for a year too so Tony could get it back after if it means that much to him. Dunno what all the fuss about a winger getting #11 instead of 9 is...

It's like Becks switching from 10 to 7

*AI voice* we in here talking about numbers...not the game, not a game, we're talking about numbers...*AI*

Martial doesn't seem like to type to trip off it though, is this not just the media spinning things?

That said, even if someone's not liable to feel seriously about it, nobody wants to be Debo'd for what's theirs. I don't care if we're talking about a spot in line to buy groceries.

I wanna hope it is since it really doesn't affect anything in the grand scheme of things. It's just funny now how managers have to deal with a players brand on top of the player himself :lol.

Really don't know why he'd trip when he only had that number for less than a year and has been rocking 11 for Les Bleus for way longer.

Something else I found funny is all the rival fans on social media saying their clubs should try to sign him now after dubbing him as overrated during the season :lol

All this sillyness over nothing while dude is enjoying himself on vacation in real life

In more pressing news...

From Spain

@CheGiaevara:

AS reporting that Paul Pogba's transfer to Manchester United could be announced "sooner rather than later"

They say there's now a full agreement between United and Pogba's agent Mino Raiola. He'll earn between €20m and €25m

They state Raiola travelled to Miami to meet up with Pogba in order for the two to make a definite decision on the transfer.

Pogba is set to earn €13m-a-year net over the course of the next five seasons at Man United, AS say

AS also say that Zinédine Zidane has been in contact with Pogba the past few days and asked him for patience

The Real Madrid manager sees Pogba as the only player to improve his midfield, but recognizes they must sell James Rodríguez to get him.

United, however, are pushing for the transfer to be closed now.

They will get help from Juventus, AS say, who need the fee to bankroll the €94,7m transfer for Gonzalo Higuaín

The only thing remaining for the transfer to be closed, AS say, is for United and Juve to agree whether the fee will be €120m or €125m.

They also say that Madrid did not take into account Higuaín's transfer, and time is running out for them should they want Paul Pogba.

AS also reveals that Florentino Pérez has turned down the chance to sign Pogba on two occasions already

In 2012 he AS reports him to have this about Pogba: "He'd have to be worth €100m to fit into the galactico profile that we want."

Two summers ago Madrid director José Ángel Sánchez had a deal done for Pogba, but Pérez stopped the deal, AS say

AS believe this will all be done by Wednesday or Thursday, with the most likely outcome being that he will be a Manchester United player.

Real have got some nerve thinking they can just barge in and hijack a world record transfer on short notice :rollin :rollin. It's taken weeks to lay the groundwork for this deal, not the kind of thing you can just swoop in on on a whim and expect to be able to have things your way :lol. It worked out so well the last time they waited until the last second..:rolleyes

Dude seems mature as hell for his age with his whole demeanor and how he conducts himself which makes the number business sound more far fetched imo. He's already a family man at 20 :lol

Definitely a combination of physio team and transfer policy.

How long have Arsenal fans been crying for a striker, CM and CB? Wenger should have solved those issues by now.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Arsenal's issues stem from the board. I can see it from a mile away because at United the same cancerous mentality is what led to the recent era of lack of success due to lack of investment in the club from the board.

Can ya all just leave him alone. Thanks

Also it should be added that was also the summer he pushed Angel "Da Engine" Di Maria out. Due to violating team policy of not being handsome enough.

:lol Pepe must of gotten the memo and stayed his ugly mug at home on decision day. I swear that dude is an alien.

Wow Perez is the really the guy goes "that's to cheap it can't be good plus none of my friends will even be jealous"
