That's exactly my point.
Normally (from what I've seen in the EPL) players have it stipulated in their contract that they can't play against their parent club.
So it's strange to see him playing against Barca.
ppl know who he is but dont know who he isMessi should be a bigger international star than he is. Adidas dropping the ball on his shoes and apparel
I think they came up with it since players can be re-called from loans mid-season it's basically a conflict of interest.
Also if you're the parent club, you loan out your player, and he starts putting in work, do you really want him to be the person who scores a hattrick against you that ends your title challenge?
How is he going to go back to his parent club a few weeks later and start training with the fellas?

It does set up for a possibly awkward situation after but that's always a possibility/risk when they loan someone out. It doesn't happen often enough to warrant built in stipulations banning them from playing against their OG club imo
I see that Zizou is NOT ******* around with the lineup he chose for his first CL match in charge

it only needs to happen once. Which it probably did, then the rule was created. Especially since players for some reason very often score against their old club.
The idea of the loan is for the player to get experience without doing any damage to your club.
the weirder part was the 2 clubs had an agreement in the loan contract that if Atletco did playhim, they would have to ay Chelsea a huge fine. UEFA stepped in last min and said it was voidWeirdest situation was when Courtois was matched up against Chelsea in the CL semifinal when he was on loan to atletico
Like why Messi don't have a Ultraboost PE, I would consider coppingppl know who he is but dont know who he isMessi should be a bigger international star than he is. Adidas dropping the ball on his shoes and apparel
