I love both of ‘em, so I'm not gonna pound the table and tell you you're wrong.

But playing devil's advocate, while Melo has been a touch more efficient, he’s not been asked to do what rookie Luka had shoved on his plate. Luka was high-level elite superstar usage rate from Day 1.

Melo's turning the ball over at a bit higher clip. He's also surrounded by a not insignificant level of better talent. That rookie Luka Mavs roster was horrendous.

And he’s not significantly better defensively by the metrics I’ve seen.

It was a foul. I agree I wouldn’t call it but considering how they missed like 7 hacks on Tobias in the 2 minutes prior, I understand why it got called lol

Refs made bad call on both ends, Jazz got away with a lot of fouls going uncalled. They also shot 47% from 3 and rarely challenged the rim. That’s what happens, can’t complain about not getting calls inside when you don’t make an effort to get inside

I still think Philly is finals bound and depending on the health of BK/LAL they could mess around and win it. Granted it will be another asterisk cup, but still an impressive turnaround nonetheless.

Philly one of the few teams (only?) that can physically match the Lakers. That's a six or seven game series.
