When his contract situation was up in air, I said that it wasn’t gonna work out. BI wants to be the star as well. That along with his lack of playmaking doesn’t make it the best duo. Either he adapts to Zion being the head honcho or he’s gonna be traded.

I didn’t completely understand why the fans hated JV. His unlimited pump fakes were annoying, but he was improving year after year. I think they just expected more from him.

All this. And he’s the most attractive asset the Pelicans have. So the people saying he should be traded (including me) aren’t blaming BI for the Pelicans lack of success, but are figuring moving him is the most likely way to get a return that will improve the team in the short term, with Zion as the centerpiece.

How do the pelicans get better then . It’s clear we need a stretch 5 . And the pels need to to get rid of Bledsoe . Naw should start with lonzo instead of Eric . Pels have been blown the most games In the league this year they should be in the playoffs this year . Two more years on Zion rookie contract after this . Not sure what the pelicans are gonna do after this year paying both Bledsoe and Adams 18m each for the next year For someone to take those contracts they might have to give up picks . You can let Zo walk and save money but he fits the team and stick with Bledsoe and Kira and naw but none of these guys can play defense

NBA players love Cleveland, as evidenced by free agent veterans taking less money & possibly a lesser role to play for the Cavaliers from 2014-2018.
It had nothing to do with the superstar players on the team. Cleveland built a great culture seemingly overnight.

The greatest thing that happened to the nba in the last 20 years...was Bron being drafted...and then, Steph Curry and the dubs emerging as a foil outta nowhere.
In the fall of 2014...it looked like LeBron James and his band of all stars was going to beat up on the super weak eastern conference for a decade...and face the Spurs, Clippers or KDs teams for next few years.
Twist of fate. The league now is a caricature of the last few years tho. Buyout market, Fa etc has gone to another level lol.

We’ve seen them **** off nearly a dozen games they should’ve won. Give them half of those and they’re fighting for home court. A competent point guard makes that happen, a bit more experience does too. Not sayinghe won’t get traded, but I dont see the return making sense. I’ve seen he isn’t a playmaker here a bunch of times. He draws doubles and averages 1 less assist than the team leader from the sf position.
