All I’m going to say is Steph won 3 titles in 5 years while being sought out on defense. If his defense was truly trash, they wouldn’t have had a run.
Last sentence is a bit crazy given the composition of their team. Multiple elite defenders surrounding him, as well as elite offense to go along with what Steve brings to the table on that side.

Steve does at least try defensively though, which is more than can be said about other guards.

That still don't answer the question. We can end it there because dudes just talking in circles now. You don't blow big leads throughout a whole series without losing focus and lacking effort. The Clippers said it themselves.

I’m not listening to anything any team with Paul George speaking

the better team won. It’s not an effort thing when the other team is better than you.

Another wrinkle with the Mavs - as of today they have the easiest remaining SOS and the two teams they trail by 2/2.5GB (Lakers and Blazers) are in the Top 5 hardest SOS.

You see an easy schedule the Mavs see rest days for KP and Luka, therefore removing the advantage of an easy schedule.

Really need to get out of the play in tournament by any means

Offensive player asks for a pick = smart

Defensive player switches pick = scared/ducking

I’m just asking for consistency
This is all any of us can ask for but it's tough when you have people arguing for the same side using different logic. This whole "scared/ducking" concept is being brought up simply as a justification to drag a player that one may not like. Whatever puts your team in the best position to win is the smart move.

"Man, they lost that game and he got torched but he's a dawg and didn't switch through those screens so I'm not even mad because he played with max effort." - Said no one ever.

The warriors had amazing defensive schemes centered around a perennial DPOY candidate and 2 other great individual defenders. Why ignore all that to have Steph play defense on Kawhi or Lebron to prove a point?

Most of the scared/ducking **** in this thread is jokes - you know this.

Anyone that actually thinks switching screens is ducking is brain dead. It's your only option most of the time as the league stands today.

Wanna bet Luka sits against Houston tomorrow? :lol

As it stands, I'd be fine sitting at 7, washing Memphis in the play-in, then drawing Phoenix in R1. Totally fine.

You could argue Rudy Gobert is as good as a defender as Mutumbo. And he’s getting played off the floor and “hunted” in playoff time.

Ironically enough I want rest for the roster so I don't want the play in.

Rick has been running a playoff rotation for 2 months now and Luka and KP ain't the only dudes who need a break.

I'll never forget Roy Hibbert's hall of fame level verticality. I also wish more bigs did the Tyson Chandler tip out.

Rudy can learn a thing or two to not get hunted in the playoffs.

I wonder what crowd capacity gonna be like come playoff time and more vaccinations.

Playing in an empty gym last year wasnt it. Too level of a playing field.
