On the flip side to this, people should really make an attempt to learn about the world around them in a deeper way, and to properly do so, you probably have to engage in material that uses terms like Latinx and BIPOC freely too.I think terms like Latinx and BIPOC should stay mainly in academic circles. Among academics, they make communication and discussions easier.
But among regular folk, it has the opposite effect and often frustrates people as a result.
Better to use the language you know people will understand when trying to convey a point.
