Because Pippen competed and won playing more difficult competition compared to KD. Hakeem played under the basket. He put up the stats but he wasn’t winning against his contemporaries like that. Of course there’s that moment in time when Mike was serving his suspension for gambli…err he retired for a little while and Hakeem was able to win but Pippen was a huge component on the the team that everyone feared
Same with Nique, same with Barkley, same with Ewing. They weren’t winning against their contemporaries. Top 50, top 30 of course. Winning isn’t the end all be all of the convo but you can’t even get in the convo if you haven’t won.

I really wish Nique had won one, I’m lucky to be old and to see him in his prime prior to his injury, he was super legit, I loved to see him and Jordan go at, or Jordan and “The Jordan Stopper” aka Gerald.

Hakeem is this random dark horse people bring up. Y’all know good and well how bigs got down in the 90’s so don’t give me quadruple double talk and his rings got asterisks. Top 15 ok, but I’m taking the guy that a critical piece in a 6x championship run, arguably the most gifted basketball player ever and the guy who took the assignment of prime Lebron in the finals and won over Hakeem

Hakeem was definitely better than Pippen. This isn't even a debate.
