Wondering if Becky Hammon wasn't in the running if this would be an "issue."

I get it.

If it has already been discussed I would shut that nonsense down as well.

Do they "owe" anyone/the media to KEEP talking about it whenever it is brought up?

Legit/honest question.

Or due to the subject matter, are they never in a position to reject a convo about it?

I come in peace.
I don't get why people feel like they're owed an explanation for something they weren't involved with.

It's been 23 years. His record has been squeaky clean for how long now? Has he had any other real incidents since 1997?

He settled a civil suit and faced no criminal charges for the matter. Has not been in trouble since.

Why are people other than the victim entitled to or owed ANYTHING?

In all fairness, I don't think there was a "good/right" way to answer any question about BH.

Either way he was going to indirectly say, "She ain't make the cut." -
I would have said just that. We liked Billups better. Full stop.

Forgot he wasn't on the burner

They’re angry when a team doesn’t hire a woman as HC.
They’re angry if a HOFer skips the line to become quick HC if he’s white.
They’re angry when Mavs sign a HC who had past issues with women
They’re angry when Blazers sign a HC w an incident 25 years ago
They’re angry if a team signs a perfect fit but they didn’t give Becky Hammond a look too.

It’s the Twitter and basement media mob that does not reflect the overall buying public as a whole. This is just the ringer you have to go through which gives ppl Likes and clicks, and most the rest of the world forgets about it a couple days later. Even the woke policemen don’t really care a lot about a lot of this stuff when they sit at home. Teams generally know all this.
(And yes to be clear there are certain issues that are a big deal).

They going at it on Mavs/local Dallas Twitter now because a local guy has an article released tonight that Jason Kidd had to have long conversations with Mavs CEO Cynt Marshall about his past issues

She’s had full control on the business side of things for the Mavs since being hired to clean up the sexual assault stuff from a couple years back. And now they’re throwing her under the bus saying she’s a yes woman and got no real power.

Some people ain’t ever gonna be happy.

dunno who they are, but yeah whites usually tend to get the first crack. Not just HC. but at least that's changing somewhat with James Jones, Rosas, Stone, Udoka, Billups, etc.

You shouldn't have included this in your post
