If you watched Intl basketball, you know intl patty is legit clutch. Just like Oly Melo is different that regular Melo!!!

USA basketball needs a facelift. I know we all love the NBA and iso basketball, but it just doesn’t translate to the Olympics/International play. Guys like Dame, Beal, Tatum have no clue how to play team basketball. They’re used to shooting 20-30 shots a game.

The days of being a lock for gold are long gone.

They need a lot of things. I understand CP3 not committing, but Trae would do wonders for this team.

Booker, Khris, and Jrue are more of the exact same players they already have.

04 vibes all over again.

We're pretty much in the same cycle We were from 02-04. Our senior men's basketball teams progressively got less and less dominant as better players opted not to play and there was fewer and fewer practices. It got to the point where we were just throwing good players out there and hoping for the best.

Of course we end up embarrassing ourselves in 2004 and then we recommit to sending our best guys, have a 3-year commitment to ensure continuity, revamping the u-19 team and then we go back to kicking butt. Now less than 20 years later we're right back to where we were in 2004.

They were gone in 02 and then carried on to 04.

Zach LaVine, KD, Dame. We don't need Kyle Korver. We have plenty of elite standstill shooters
Im more so referring to
Klay Thompson/Mikael Bridges than Korver…Guys who don’t necessarily need to the ball in their hands to be most effective like the guys you named and also can provide defense.

It can be a big commitment to repeatedly participate in this National team stuff. I honestly understand why there's a lack of continuity and familiarity

Damn y'all killing my son Tatum

He sucked tonight, but at least was good in the first game 🤷‍♂️

he’s struggling to play without that cape on. Big Tatum fan but this is an adjustment.

best thing about olympic melo was he caught and shot that *** every team. And he had a burner. They missing that to me more than a playmaker.

I see 20 threes from Nigeria but only 10 tonight & still an L? Have no idea what’s going on so I’ll catch a replay but theoretically KD at the 5 with 4 shooters, hunt the slowest defender on the switch and drive and kick all game should blow anyone off the floor.

Then you can bring in Dray/Bam and let them work with a lead but neither one of them should be starting or splitting all of the minutes at center.

They will be ight … team just started practicing together last week while all the other teams been playing games to make the olympics and practicing for months when there season was over … I’m not saying team USA can’t lose but they should be aight
