He was really damn good against my nuggets. Tho Murray went off, he had some good moments and part of the reason they were up 3-1 to begin with. And the OKC series, he was a dog. But he got a ceiling to what he’s capable of doing. He’s an ALL NBA guy. And he’s going to get your team to the playoffs as a 16ppg guy with defensive anchoring.

How much you value that, is on you. But the point is to win a lot of regular season games and set yourself up for favorable matchups in the playoffs. I think you can find better pieces or scheme

People really talk about him like he’s Deandre Jordan. There is probably a closer parallel to Ben Simmons and Gobert now that I think of it. 2 really good players that will help you win a lot of games....but their inherent flaws can be exploited in the playoffs.

Do you think Rudy can improve switching onto guards? Is there anything Utah can do schematically to alleviate some of that, say in another matchup with Harden? Or he just don’t have it?

It's a team game. Of course he benefits from Rudy. And Rudy ABSOLUTELY benefits greatly from playing with Mitchell.

Gobert is a solid player but you're going to get played off the court in the playoffs if you can't seamlessly switch around the perimeter. Immobile centers who have to resort to drop PnR coverage get targeted in the playoffs. It's largely why Murray and Mitchell were putting up huge numbers against each other.
