🍎 OFFICIAL NEW YORK METS THREAD 🍎: Off-Season

I was hoping another sweep series but I’ll take 2-1 series anytime

Not worried about Givens’s bad Mets debut. Catchers and he will improve their battery communication

Five-game series against the Braves

Let's expand this lead

LFGM!

I'll be happy if we take 3 of 5. I'm going to Saturdays 1pm game, hopefully it'll be scherzer pitching.

So weird, and satisfying, seeing JD Davis starting at 3rd Base for the Giants. Lolol

Vogelbach as a met already has more homeruns than Dom Smith. That's embarrassing.
Guy is a tank. Some lame yankees fan was crying and saying how fat Vogie was when the Mets were whoopin on the yanks.

Mets got some fat *** players my goodness they look sloppy af.

Alonso look like he hits the bar after every home game.

That ninja that was on 1st base looking like Mike Myers dressed as fat bastard in a Mets kit.

So appropriate I guess for the lovable losers. Gotta have character when there’s not much more to offer.
he was quiet after they got swept.

 My silence changes nothing.

Looking flabby and sick right up to tonite.

Son should be happy that club of rejects is hitting their stride again.

Great series win against the Braves

Former Mets first rounder Justin Dunn will make his 2022 season debut tonight

To take 4 out 5 versus Atlanta was a key in getting a little cushion here. Gearing up for that stretch run! Let's go Metsies!!!

Also Jake continues to amaze...

This just might be my favorite Met squad since 86.

I enjoyed watching many of the other teams over the years too.

But something about this particular team just clicks for me.

I was born in 91, Mets Nets Panthers

Have never seen any of my teams win anything

I was young but 2000 hurt , beltran strikeout hurt

2015 was a bad yr for me mets & panthers lost in championship games (super bowl was 2016 but was the result of 2015-2016 season)

This team got me feeling like I would see my first championship in my life, its like after all these yrs the stars are finally aligning in queens

I think that's the feeling a lot of the fans have.

This team definitely has it in them but since Mets fans have been conditioned to be ready for injuries or some other form of let down, you won't hear too many people predicting a title.

Mets will get there 1 game at a time.

Let's just enjoy the journey.

Yea let me just enjoy the ride

We been down this road plenty times but idk this road feels different man

Been living in nyc my entire life tired of yankee parades

Even though they lost the WS in 2015, that was a fun ride. So many great comeback games, that tough series against the Dodgers, sweeping the Cubs. The final result sucked but the journey was phenomenal. That’s really when you started seeing the fake Mets fans pop up all of a sudden.

Agreed

I'd still welcome bandwagon fans anyways. It's nice to see more orange and blue in the city during summer time
