I got both of the bottom shirts. Never wore the Copper one, but I wore the white/black checked polo A LOT when I played (along with the teal LWPs). It's a little bit faded now but I still love it. I even wore a bandana over my head. [emoji]128541[/emoji]

Cool !
Wish the internet was around back then. Would of definitely had both. Weren't to many tennis shops around where I lived back then

Seems to me like they could come up with a new tech challenge based on those old drawings. ATC Zero, anyone?

Anyone here know if on the OG 1990 ATC III Low, should it have the Durathane word cutout on the toe of the outsole?

What about OG IVs? I only have the clay PEs and they don't have it although the non-ribbed section of the outsole feels like durathane

I've always felt that molding "Durathane" into the outsole was always a marketing thing.  Not to say that they didn't use Durathane, but letting the public know was part of the selling point.

Having said that, I dunno if they use Durathane rubber for the PE's cuz pros probably don't need the durability.

Had those lows in europe when they released and can confirm durathane was mentionned. Well, till i rub it down on the court.
That's probably what happened to this pair? Hey wait... could be mines  one of my faves, this ones in pretty good condition as leather doesnt seem to have cracked -and midsole didn't explode yet

That was the last and winning point i used with my parents in front of the store shelf for those hot lava IIs "they're way too overpriced to end like your adidas" "no look, it's durathane, they will last twice as long on the court" mother hesitated a lot but my enthusiasm won.
I believed in durathane strengh, but ended a bit disappointed looking at the word fading

For me, Durathane wasn't the problem... it was the bond between the upper and the outsole.  Separation is no joke.
