I didn't know they were down to $70 on NDC. Â Thats a steal, so its no surprised they're gone already, I suppose. Â Still, $90 ain't bad. ÂOriginally Posted by Bryscooplaygrifhold
yeah. I ended up getting some R.G 2.3s from Tennis Warehouse for about 90 shipped. Would have preferred the 69.99 price tag from NT but that was almost too good to be true. As far as the U.S.O 2.3's, is it just me or if these were a diff. sig. athlete such as an American tennis phenom, would they not be very highly sought after? I mean the volt pops huge and the Faux "carbon" fiberesque detail in the swoosh and back of the shoe are sweet! Maybe I am just impressed with some of the color blocking and use of different textures and prints with this year's tennis stuff, since the last few have been pretty boring. I mean the French 1.3s and the Vapor 3s in university blue were very impressive, but other than that not much really comes to mind before this years releases and colorways. Just my opinion. Feel free to agree/disagree and keep this thread going! Thanks to SinnerP for dropping some fresh pics.
Yeah, those are the ones. They were "limited" but definitely hung around for awhile, because they were almost "awkward" looking. I forgot that Rafa got bounced that year. I am contemplating the volts or even another pair of heavily discounted neptune blues/cool greys/ white GR. I have yet to wear these for tennis, but they seem very comfortable off court and just for everyday wear. Very locked down much like the kobe 5s for basketball. I am also curious how the trainer 1.2s will be for casual tennis wear. I used to always wear the original trainer 1 and trainer 3 for tennis, and absolutely loved the way the felt.ÂOriginally Posted by SinnerP
^ I think the volt 2.3's will be a GR. Â I know the US Open one year sold an exclusive Federer Vapor, but if I remember correctly, the only difference was the RF logo (though I could be wrong). Â Anyway, I don't think you'll have trouble getting the volts.
Are you referring to the blue/pink 2.3's Rafa was SUPPOSED to wear in the semis, but didn't even reach that far? Â I think ebay's your best shot since they were relatively limited back then. Â I think they were produced in limited numbers but didn't "fly off the shelves" cuz, frankly, tennis shoes don't sell well. Â TennisWarehouse had an FSR, but were all gone after a few days. Â
I'm not sure Nike has elite tennis socks.  According to Midwest sports, it appears to be your standard Pro Compression Training sock.Originally Posted by andfattoo
does anybody have detailed pics of the elite tennis socks?

I really like those white/Hot lime 2.3's. I'm just hesitant on trying them because they seem so heavy. Maybe that colorway will get me to finally try them out.
That pair actually has the RF on the heel and or tongue right? Have you worn them much or just for collection purposes? I don't love the bandana but I do like the Mac shoes and the Aces shirt thats also on Midwest Sports. Can't imagine it will be too long before its all up on NDC as well. Good looks guys on the Tennis thread. Lets keep it rolling. P, would be interested to see some pics of your tennis related stuff when you have time. I wish I had kept more of my old stuff. Agassis, Couriers, Adidas Lendl,Edberg torsions, etc...I let my cousin have most of it once I moved off to college, and I remember him commenting on those "Shamu" looking White/Teal/Splattered Air Tech Challenges. that came out in the 92-93 time frame. Some of my absolute favorites!Originally Posted by T21D
P, ended up picking up those vapor lunar RF in the white and teal cw for 79 shipped from MWS. Thanks homie!
The RF logo from what the pics show seems to show it only on the heel tab. I haven't worn the lunar foam versions and yes I'll actually wear them on court. I was rated a 4.5-5.0 about 8 years ago but I got married and played recreationally off and on. I'm planning to  get my referee certification, which shouldn't be too hard. So if you see a linesman or court ref with "heat" in a major in the future, who knows?Originally Posted by Bryscooplaygrifhold

That's what I keep hearing about the 2K10's. The original Breathe Free II's are my favorite tennis shoe from the last ten years. I still have one pair left in playing condition. I don't know why it's taken me 7 months to give the 2K10's a go. I keep hearing that they in fact are very close to the BFII, minus the Air Max heel. Looking forward to them.Originally Posted by SinnerP

Anyway, this is interesting... Mcenroe-line of clothing includes a bandana.
There are your F*#! quotes.Â
Shoe-performance wise, the 2K10's are definitely top-notch. Â
