Bruh Meek Mill did nothing to hurt Drake lmao. Meek Mill is a much better rapper than Drake but Drake bodied him.

The Cole overhyped is kinda next level. He honestly can't hang with Kendrick on any level but gets brought up all the time!
The notion that VIEWS is this year’s Purple Rain, or that Drake is “officially” as popular as Michael Jackson was during Thriller, or that Views is already one of the biggest hip-hop albums of all time? That’s nonsense. It is empirically, objectively untrue. VIEWS is a rather successful album that happens to have done obscene numbers in a closed-gated community whose total user base comprises less than five ******* percent of the country’s population. It’s the musical equivalent of a Lexus RX 350. Or a case of LaCroix seltzer. Or a pair of Beats headphones.

Drama took a hit for it though. People thought he was the one who leaked the reference tracks on some loyalty to Philly ****. Once that rumor got out there he didn't bother until later to speak up. I never understood why he didn't speak up, but maybe he didn't want to snitch.
Did anyone believe Drama when he said it or did they have their mind made up and didn't care?
^ I have literally not seen that comparison been made ONCE prior to you posting that excerpt from that article
It was posted several times awhile after Views came out. A bunch of "Say bruhs we did it " type stuff
I honestly hadn't seen it either. But I googled and apparently it's a thing.

As a great man once said:Maybe you misunderstood what I was referring to?
If not, "Say bruhs we did it" doesn't equate to "Views is the modern day Purple Rain," or "Drake is as popular as Michael Jackson was during his 'Thriller' era" in the slightest
What the hell? They even waited a cool 2-3 months to let these fly
At least that Purple Rain one just seems like a sensationalized title to attract readers based on a quick skim through.
Actually, after clicking through a couple of the articles within the links, they're pretty much all just about how his Billboard #1 stretch compares to others. Nothing worth paying any attention to.
IYRT wasn't even the best rap album of 2015. It's Drakes best work by far though
