after what they did in only 2 months, would u put it past that UT staff to pull all kinda players.

No doubt. I'm just saying. I don't think he's going. Maybe some other WR's. But not him. We'll see after he visit's if hegoes on an official. And I don't even know how hard he's being recruited by the fighting kiffins. UT has offered everybody and their mother

.I also think that w/ Noel leaning towards coming to FSU too, it can only be better for us.
and the run game is gonna be Sick. zone blocking scheme I cant wait to see RB#2 demolishing DBs one on one.

Yeah, it's a beautiful thing when you have RB's that are acutally are good being that scheme and read their cutbacks (etc) correctly. IsHe that type of back?

Tone wasn't really good behind it (Hence the reason why Trickett was always riding him so hard) but eventually he got better. Jermaine is a natural behindthat and he had a great season.

Idk if its been posted yet or not but Michigan picked up Devin Gardner today, pretty much pryor w/o the hype. Will be a good fit for our system assuming hestays committed.

Sheridan has broken a small bone in his leg so he's been out for pretty much all of spring ball, which means Tate Forcier has beeen taking most of the repsin practices w/ the ones. Reports say he looks really good, but he's small as hell. Athletically he's better than anything we had last year, throwsbetter and can move. But he's still gonna be a freshman. I'd be surprise if Sheridan starts but if he does it won't be long before Tate is inthere. Also Denard Robinson will be up there in the summer, he just ran a 10.44 in the 100.

Damn, I didnt even pay attention to this:
Welcome to Tone-Deaf BureaucracyNow, starring Corey Surrency
By Matt Hinton

ept_sports_ncaaf_experts-213693102-1238794586.jpg
After Preston Parker's midnight ride cost him a rosterspot in February, I reviewed Florida State's relativelack of returning playmakers, and Corey Surrency played a prominent role in the analysis. Surrency was only an occasional player in FSU's offense inhis first year out of El Camino (Calif.) Community College, but he did average almost 20 yards with four touchdowns on just 12 catches, flashing some of thetalent that made him one of the most sought-after JUCO transfers in the country. His size, speed and hype make him an obvious candidate for a senior breakout this fall.

Talent notwithstanding, that fate hasn't always been a foregone conclusion: Surrency, 24, grew up in rough part of Miami, dropped out ofschool in ninth grade and later spent 90 days in jail for what the Orlando Sentinel describes as "various crimes," including felonies. Afterprison, Surrency earned his diploma, played a season with a "minor league" team, Tampa's Florida Kings of the Southern Indoor Football League, and eventually headed cross-country to El Camino, wherehe caught on and earned scholarship offers from all over thecountry. Whether or not he makes any more waves on the field, that's a success story -- or it was, until, as the Sentinel reports today, the narrative met one of the more obscure corners ofthe NCAA rulebook:
The rule is No. 14.2.3.5 in the NCAA Division I Manuel. It is titled, "Participation After 21st Birthday," and it mandates the following: If an individual participates in an organized sport after his 21st birthday, but before enrolling in college, that participation "shall count as one year of varsity competition in that sport."
[...]
Surrency played with the Kings after he had turned 21. Had he not, he might never have had the chance to go to college. Regardless, though, his time with the Kings has cost him his final year of eligibility - at least for now. Florida State is appealing on Surrency's behalf.

If FSU loses the appeal, Surrency's college football career would be over. It's likely, too, that [with the loss of his athletic scholarship] his pursuit of earning a degree in criminal justice - Surrency would become the first member of his family to earn a college degree - would also be over.

The rule, said NCAA spokesman Jennifer Kearns, is designed to "to minimize competitive advantage" by ensuring a "normalprogression" through high school and the entry to college. Surrency, because his high school career was interrupted, got into the system too late.http://

Obviously, the rule is not designed to necessarily cater to individual athletes' best interests, which in Surrency's case isto remain in school another year and earn his degree, like anyone else in his situation who has the will, the means and the grades. It's tone-deafbureaucracy par excellence: If the rule didn't exist, no one would think to look for it; no one would think twice about any practical,non-bureaucratic issues, or feel the need to think up some kind of tangible problem that would result from Surrency finishing out the usual string. If he'djoined the Florida Kings at 19 or 20 years old, no one would bat an eye. Hell, if the sport in question was minor league baseball -- as it was fora certain winner of a certain trophy a few years ago -- he'd be in the clear.

But, the rules being what they are, Surrency waits while his teammates go through spring practice, telling reporter Andrew Carter,"It's killing me, man. I'm losing my fight for the game right now," while the NCAA takes its time to decide whether its bureaucracy is moresacred than a kid's best chance to finish his degree.

A lot of fans figured he wasn't going to be playing this year but if he can't even get his degree

I would be shocked if FSU didn't let him keep a ship and get his degree even if the NCAA nazis screw him over..

them dudes were holders.

its a shame all the crap the officials let them get away with. they'd be bottom 5 CB tandem if the game was called properly.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP)-Purdue quarterback Justin Siller has been dismissed from school through 2009-10 for an academic violation.

The redshirt sophomore from Detroit was expected to compete with fifth-year senior Joey Elliott for the starting job next season.

Siller started three games last year, including his first start against Michigan when he led the Boilermakers to a 48-42 win and was the Big Ten's offensive co-player of the week. He completed 21 of 34 passes for 266 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 77 yards and another score in that game.

Purdue coach Danny Hope said in a statement Friday that Siller made a bad academic decision and deserved to be punished. He would not elaborate on the violation.

Idiot. He played well last yr.
Syracuse quarterback David Legree quits the team

by syracuse.com
Frank Ordonez / The Post-StandardSyracuse sophomore quarterback David Legree, right, works out with Andrew Robinson during a spring practice. Legree quit the team this week.

Syracuse sophomore quarterback David Legree decided to leave the team on Wednesday. He's the fifth player to quit the football team during spring practice. That leaves the Orange with just two quarterbacks for spring ball - redshirt freshman Ryan Nassib and senior Cameron Dantley.

Legree's decision came two days after coach Doug Marrone announced Nassib as the starting quarterback and Dantley as the backup. The Orange will get a third quarterback this summer when freshman Charley Loeb arrives.

nah, we will be much better this year.

Coaching staff changes are a huge plus, there's more depth, more athletes (still not many, but there's more)

how much success is dependent on the O and D Lines. If the O line is anywhere near good, Jimmy, Golden, Floyd and Rudolph are gona ball.

And for better or worse, the schedule is a joke. If Jimmy doesn't throw the pick 6 outa the half down in Chapel Hill, who knows how even last year turnsout to begin with.

It was.

but everyone is a year older now. Upper class talent on this roster the past 2 years was flat out atrocious.
