Plays OT in HS likely playing C in college) and Nile Lawrence-Stample (6 1 1/2, 290, runs 4.9 played MLB/DT last year at ~270 lbs, DT in college)

FSU now has 7 Commitments.

I with you, Jay... Like him, don't love him... Solid 4* kid, but he's not a sure thing... I just don't see where he fits in a 4-3 on the next level right now... It's another kid to me that really doesn't feel like a Longhorn early offer/take... Maybe it's just because the state is kinda down at the top but deeper in the middle, just a matter of preference/evaluation maybe. I dunno...

Seen some reports that Texas to the BigTen in 2012/2013 is a done deal, but nothing credible yet...

RR really doesn't have much support. They made a huge press conference on small finding and garbage rules. Thank you so much University. You really helped him out. Brandon can say RR is getting his full support but when his buddies are the ones dropping hints to newspapers and outsiders about the goings-ons at Michigan, you are blind if you don't see whats up.

This is just another log on the fire that is going to take away from these kids in the offseason. RR needs to grab this team and tell them to not speak to a sole about what happens at practice or anywhere else. Just shut the eff up because the vultures are circling.

Also, have to love they play these findings up but these pics in this thread pretty much go un-noticed by other universities. Why? Because their papers care about the schools teams and want them to succeed. Not have a smaller school who generates possibly half of the the revenue do better.

Really hasn't been a fun 2 years to be a Michigan fan. Do not really care anymore. Feel like a sucker for getting so down about everything going on with Michigan but [TO] thats my team [/TO]. Hopefully they can put together some wins but in the state nothing will go down for praise for this school for a long time. Just seems like Sparty is the new fan favorite and it is time to go after Michigan.

Its easier said than done, but winning will take care of everything.  I think these allegations are much ado about nothing or however that saying goes.  We'll see tho, I'm not gonna worry about it at this point. I'm just gonna sit and stew about the smear campaign against RRod and UofM that will no doubt continue, sadly most of it is gonna come from w/in the state.  Hopefully this season RRod will be able to tell all the haters and doubters to %@+# off and we will have a successful season.

Police release new details in McEachern standout's murder

Huddled with family members in a cramped, dark bathroom inside their Powder Springs home, Rajaan Bennett quietly called 911.

The McEachern High School football star told the operator they werebeing held hostage. A little after 2 a.m. last Thursday, Clifton Stegerbroke into his ex-girlfriend's Woodcrest Drive house brandishing a .22caliber revolver, according to Powder Springs Police, who on Tuesdayreleased new details about Rajaan's death.

Steger ordered Narjaketha Bennett, 37, Rajaan's mother, to collectthe cell phones belonging to her oldest son Rajaan, his 14-year-oldsister, Narcharlette, and uncle Taiwan Hunter, 32. Then the 39-year-oldMilledgeville carpenter led his ex, her two children and Hunter intothe bathroom. Bennett's youngest son, who is autistic, was allowed toremain in his room.

Narjaketha Bennett managed to sneak her phone into the bathroom.Rajaan, man of the house since his father's death when he was in sixthgrade, made the call. Powder Springs Police arrived four minutes later.Steger directed Narjaketha to tell officers everything was fine.Instead she bolted out of the front door and told officers what washappening inside.

Steger wasted no time, returning to the darkened bathroom where hebegan shooting indiscriminately. Fourteen-year-old Narchalette wasn'thit. Hunter was struck in the abdomen but managed to flee with hisniece. Rajaan, struck once in the chest, never got out of the bathroom.Police found him alongside Steger, who turned the revolver on himself.

Hunter is in good condition at Atlanta Medical Center.

Bennett broke up with Steger just a few weeks before the shooting. He urged her to reconsider in several e-mails and text messages, thoughPowder Springs Police say none of the correspondences contained threats.

McEachern is holding a memorial service at 7 p.m. Wednesday forRajaan, a budding architect who had signed a letter of intent to attendVanderbilt University and play football for the Commodores. His funeralwill be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Trinity Church Chapel of Georgia inPowder Springs.

Awful story.

On Michigan, it doesn't matter what happens from the NCAA it keeps schools bashing us and our players thinking of other things than football. The Univ should have done what everybody else does and self report things. Only problem was leaks from Michigan was feeding the press this stuff. Starting to get rid of them but Brandon should be going through there with a sickle and taking care of these clowns

Tyrik Rollison will be enrolling at Sam Houston State. It's a shame he couldn't cut it at Auburn, I would have liked to see him with those other offensive pieces they brought in this year.

Wisconsin athletic director Barry Alvarez said Texas isn't among the 15 schools included in an initial report by a search firm helping the Big Ten with its expansion study.

Texas athletic director DeLoss Dodds recently told The Oklahoma's Berry Tramel that "something drastic" would need to happen for Texas to leave the Big 12.

So the Big Ten-Texas talk is dying down, right?

Not so fast, my friends.

Washington athletic director Steve Woodward shared this interesting tidbit over the weekend with The Seattle Times (scroll down to the bottom).
Woodward also talked about expansion and said the Pac-10 and the Big Ten have reached out to officials at Texas and Texas A&M. "I'd be surprised if our office is not in contact with them," he said. "I'm sure those conversations have happened and are taking place."

When asked if the league might expand beyond two teams, Woodward said that's a possibility. "It could be two, four or a merger of Big 12. ... There's a theory that at the end of the day there's only going to be four super conferences. Now that it's going to look like, God only knows."
Though phrases like "I'd be surprised" don't sound overly concrete, it's interesting that Woodward mentioned both Texas and Texas A&M. It's unlikely the Texas legislature would let Texas go without A&M being part of the package.

Could the Big Ten and Pac-10 get into a bidding war over the Texas schools? Nothing against the Pac-10, but from a revenue and media rights perspective, it doesn't compete with what the Big Ten has to offer.

In the end, I don't think Texas and Texas A&M will leave the Big 12. But as I've written before, it would be silly for the Big Ten to not at least gauge the interest. And if Woodward is to be believed, the talk about Texas as an expansion candidate isn't going away.

And Tyrik Rollison is leaving Auburn for Sam Houston State... Still blows my mind Auburn got him in school to begin with..

isn't the rumor of Arkansas leaving the SEC to go back with some of its SWC buddies??

I haven't heard word of this, where is this from?

That would ruin the rep of the conference's "academic" reputation, so I don't see all the presidents being in line with that, plus Nashville is the conference's biggest hub. I guess it would shift to Athens/Atlanta with a move like that, even though there really is no team in Atlanta.

Nashville ain't no damn hub. Atlanta has been the hub, despite the lack of a school here, like you said.
Former Bulldog Knowshon Moreno questioned in Athens bar fight
A UGA freshman claims he was knocked unconscious Saturday night by former Bulldog tailback Knowshon Moreno following a bar fight in downtown Athens.

Athens-Clarke County Police spokeswoman Hilda Sorrow said StephenAnderson, 18,  filed a report late Monday afternoon after consultingwith friends. He said he was diagnosed with a concussion earlier in theday at the UGA Health Center, which may explain his foggy memory.

Anderson, who acknowledged he was drunk, couldn't identify the threemen he claims jumped him inside the Bourbon Street Bar on Broad Street. He did not know if Moreno, who left UGA after the 2008 season, wasamong the attackers.

But Anderson, or at least his friends who filled in a night ofblanks, was certain that Moreno punched the freshman in the face as heleft the bar.

The Athens Banner-Hearld reports that Moreno, who rushed for nearly1,000 years with the Denver Broncos last season, told police he wasstruck first. So far no charges have been brought though theinvestigation continues.

you know what I meant.

Nashville is more geographically inline with the current composition of the SEC, as opposed to Atlanta.

Atlanta just happens to have the Georgia Dome.
