He also averaged 45.2 points in a playoff series!!!

His regular season average: 35.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 3.2 steals.

Did you mean up to that point?? Because Hakeem won both later too... And a finals MVP.
 
It is seriously sick when in a season in which you average 35 points per game you also win Defensive Player of the Year...............as a guard.
 
Too bad he didn't win a title his rookie season and wasn't the finals mvp his rookie season.
