2010 NBA Trade Deadline thread

Jamison gives the Cavs a 4 who can stretch the floor. Championship, who knows, but what's the risk when you're giving up like pick #30 or whatever, and, maybe even get Big Z back in 30 days? Basically getting Jamison for free.

why does Hickson matter??

He's never touching the floor again for the rest of the season/playoffs...

If the goal is to win a chip this year, why do you even care that Hickson is on the roster??

Varejao, Big Z (when he signs back), Shaq, Tawn, and even Bron at some instances, will see the court before Hickson does.

The Wizards players just went to the floor for the game. Antawn Jamison did not go with them. The Big Three to nothing. Crazy year.

theyre slightly better than before.

Even I would agree now that Cleveland is Chip caliber with Twan.

But I need to see it finalized.  This could be a push to get the Suns to relent.

Now that CLE is out of the Amare sweepstakes, the cards are really in Miami's favor, either the Suns take the risk of letting STAT walk for nothing after the year OR they except whatever the Heat are offering and get something in return. The Heat don't have to put Beasley in a trade now.

From the New York Post and Peter Vescey:

The Cavaliers, Clippers and Wizards are in the midst of completing a three-way trade that sends Antawn Jamison and Sebastian Telfair to Cleveland; Zydrunas Ilgauskas and Al Thornton to Washington; and Drew Gooden to Los Angeles.

There may be one or two other players involved in the transaction but nobody of consequence.

The deal strongly indicates Amar'e Stoudemire, if traded by the Suns before Thursday's 3 p.m. NBA deadline, is bound for Miami.

By shedding next season's guaranteed contracts belonging to Thornton ($2.8 million) and Telefair ($2.7 million), the Clippers reduced their salary cap to the $33 million range, putting it in prime position to compete this summer for the services of LeBron James or another marquee free agent.

**EDIT: Brian Skinner and a 1st Rd. Pick from Cleveland will also be headed to Washington

They were championship caliber this season before Jamison .. No excuses for them this year

Washington is hot garbage now. They got a ton of expiring contracts though, so they'll be able to sign some veterans since the major FAs wouldnt want to go and mess with gil.

POWER move by Cavs. Got a backup point, and a solid 4.

How is JJ even going to get PT behind sideshow bob, big z, shaq, and tawn?

Pat Riley's pimp hand is still way strong. He +@$%'blocked the hell outta all that Amar'e to the Cavs nonsense.

Miami can get STAT for pennies on the dollar now, or just tell PHX to shove it and sign him this summer as Amare has made it CLEAR he wants to play with the Heat.

I see you Riles.

Good trade for the Cavs, though.

Good trade for the Cavs...they get a 4 to stretch the floor and matchup a lot better with Orlando now. They keep future multiple time All-Star JJ Hickson

. Bron really doesn't have any excuse this year for not getting it done. Is Z going to get bought out?
