his point was that orlando built the team perfectly around dwight and since dwight has not improved in the past 6 years, that orlando team is as good as you're going to get when you're building around dwight and if we're talking about winning championships its not good enough
But how many types of players are there in this league though? Only Lebron, and KD don't need a team finely tailored to their skillsets, but they still need the right pieces and system to thrive. Great players sometimes have to be put in the perfect situations to win. Dirk was not transcendent, but he had the perfect pieces around him that complemented his strengths and weaknesses as a player.
Dwight has been the man on a contender. I would say you can build around him. Some deep playoff runs and a trip to the Finals is damn good to me.
