Melo wouldnt claim the DMV as home anyway...cuz Baltimore is not part of it, so it dont matter :lol

Melo on the Wiz could actually be a good fit, the Wiz need a 3 in their line up...idk bout that championship he wants tho :lol

We have a 3 already that's gonna take off next year. Otto Porter. I don't want the BALL STOPPER on my team. Would rather wait for KD to opt out, let Russ have OKC and come home.
Bro what are you talking about.. if we got Melo, Otto Porter can kick rocks :lol

Last year, Melo carried his team to 50+ wins and was an MVP candidate with a bunch of shooters and role players. He would have that again on the Wizards, except add an All-Star PG instead of Ray Felton, and a rising Beal instead of JR Smith.

Melo would instantly make us players in the Eastern conference ( where it's far easier to compete than in the West)

John Wall giving you damn near 20/9/4 and is a better defender, I'm taking him over Tony Parker and I like Tony Parker but he's got serious mileage

If starting a team now I would too but both healthy at 100% though Parker is still better. Walls closing the gap but not their yet.....and this is coming from a Wizards fanatic.

Same thing people said last year about trading Beal for Rudy Gay. How'd that turn out? The thing Washington does best is move the ball. Melos always been known as a ball stopper. Get the stars out your eyes and think about team chemistry. You can't put Melo anywhere and expect good things. This isn't NBA2K.

I don't like the idea of him messing up Wall's floor-generalship on the Wizards.

Realistically even if Melo takes a pay cut to stay (lets say 30 mill), who can the Knicks sign?

Nobody this off-season. But after next season Tyson Amare and Bargs all expire, so you'll have a ton of space.

Not sure Melo will want to waste yet another year of his prime in an attempt to sign player(s) who may not even come to New York

LeBron: Hey Melo, what are your plans for this summer?

Melo: I'm probably gonna leave NY.

LeBron: You merely adopted the cowardness, I was BOOOOOOOOOOORN in it.

#LeBaneJames :hat

Melo can play off the ball with talent around him see: Olympics

Wall's penetration would leave so many easy looks for Melo/Beal

Throw Melo a couple plays at the foul line extended and everybody is happy.

Idk or care where Melo ends up but nothing can compare to winning it all in NY. That alone may be worth the gamble of staying. The City sells itself, he just needs to tuff it out 1 more season and convince others to join him.

Everyone mentions the Olympics.  It's the damn Olympics.  It's like no other situation he'll play in again.  You may as well mention the All-Star game.

Can Melo even survive with that few shots?  What about when he completely negates the value of Beal and Wall the moment he gets the ball in his hands and freezes like a statue for 10 seconds, slowly jabbing his foot forward repeatedly?

Huh? I never heard anything about trading Beal for Gay, or anyone on this board advocating that.. I guarantee the Washington's front office didn't entertain that for one second, seeing as they turned down OKC's offer of Harden for Beal, and shutdown the rumors this year of Greg Monroe for Beal. Beal and Wall are considered untouchable right now

And I don't look too much into all those narratives about Melo, always take what you read and hear with a grain of salt. Just focusing on the facts: Anthony is an offensive threat from anywhere on the court, and at his best he is virtually unguardable.. can score inside, deadly midrange game with an array of moves, has a money outside shot, draws a lot of fouls, and he can play off the ball because of his superior catch-and-shoot ability. He's also become a great rebounder, and contrary to perception he's been a plus defender for the past two years. A player like that can make any team better.

Washington has no one right now who can consistently draw double-teams. Melo would bring that ability, and he would take pressure off of Wall, who would be free to tee off on defenses like Westbrook does next to KD. If there are enough shooters and spacing, the ball will move. Knicks had great ball movement last year because they had shooters. This year they don't have that, and their coach is very inept, and as a result Melo has to do too much for the offense on a nightly basis. If he was in the right system, he would be able to focus on his strengths and the team around him would flourish. It would take the right coach and front office to make it happen. But I think it could happen in DC, IF we made the right front office moves (starting with firing Ernie Grunfeld and bringing in a better GM)

Well they can't play much worse

Seriously though, new coach honeymoon.  Win streak at the second half of the year next season.  Just enough to keep things as is.  Classic Knicks.

The Knicks are really gonna play Felton, just to add to the circus. I honestly feel for Knicks fans. Yall done been through hell with this team.

Can they possibly even get better?

Hardaway and Shumpert are the only trade pieces they have and it's not like they'll get much

Cap space?

There's just no way unless he doesn't care about winning

Interested to see how Felton is going to play 8o 8o

Good to see him out on the court and not sitting in a jail cell

Wade, bron, bosh, melo thats 1,3,4 and 5 from that 03 class all coming together to form a unstoppable force lol won't happen tho everybody will have to take a pay cut pretty much and there's no way bron is taking a bigger cut then what he's took now. Wade would and I'm sure bosh would also. Melo might might but I don't see it and he'd have to change his game.
