I disagree, and I think stats would back me up...but it's late and I dont have the energy to google comparative stats.

You gotta show me some stats but I'm sure he has missed more than he made. This is just off of me watching him over the years. I didn't watch that much of him in Denver but seen almost all his games as a knick. Either way he is never going to win chip being this iso player. Once he can create plays with/without the ball for himself and his teammates he will become legit title contender. I just don't see it happening. Kidd and Tyson was this teams only chance at a title last year but JR collapsed in the playoffs. Melo is never winning a title at least not as current player he is.
Only way Melo will get a Ring is if he plays the Role Pierce played on Celtics with Rondo.

Melo iso's too much. He needs to change his game up. Pierce use to be a iso player too but never jacked up shots like Melo.

Pierce role? lol

Pierce was the man but Rondo is a legit PG. Pierce could do w/e the hell he wants out there but he doesnt have a clean/smooth jumper like Melo.

I know Mark Jackson is stubborn with his line-up's but let me help you, O'Neal & Douglas have zero business in this game, ZERO.

But what i meant was he is going to need a PG in order for him to play the role pierce played on the celtics.

lead the team in scoring and shot attempts, iso's here and there, gets opened, and passes to open teammates and be a play maker.

All melo does is dribble dribble shoot. Dribble dribble shoot.

He'll never pass to someone if he is iso'd. even if they got a open 3 near him.

he is selfish.

Dont forget.... Rondo wasn't a PG that year they won the chip in 2008. he was a non factor.

"Among players that have taken at least 20 field goal attempts in game-tying or game-winning situations in the last 15 seconds of the 4th quarter or overtime in the past 10 years, Carmelo Anthony ranks first in field-goal percentage (46.2), according to the Elias Sports Bureau. He has made 24 of 52.

His 24 field goals are second to Kobe Bryant's 26. But Bryant is shooting 30.2 percent in 'clutch' situations (26-86)."

Still has some pretty more shot selections.
