Nah, that was a good foul. I know it wasn't intentional but there were 8 seconds left and it's better than letting them get a three off.

No Garnett's foul just now was a good foul.


Anderson's foul was way too early, and it was on Ray Allen (even though he missed)

I disagree, MIA had the ball in the frontcourt, therefore any foul inside of 10 seconds isn't too early. I'll take my chances being up 1 with 7 seconds left (assuming Ray would normally make both) than risk the other team getting any look at a three, even a bad one.

It's way too risky imo. If Ray makes both, they foul right away, and your team misses even one (with all the pressure on you), you're in trouble. They have about 6 seconds left to set up a gamewinning three or game-tying 2. With Ray Allen, Lebron, Bosh, and Wade on their team.

If you play defense and he hits a tough shot, you still have at least 5 seconds to set up a gamewinning shot (or even a draw a foul, 1 FT would win you the game).

I've always been pretty adamant that fouling is a bad idea in that situation. With 3 seconds or less, I agree with fouling. But not when there's enough time for the other team to get another possession.
