. Paus gone by February IMO.

Only way you send Pau away is in return you get someone better.Kobe will not let that fly unless you sell him the dream...
Kobe Bryant is no longer the king of the castle man, they dont care what he thinks.

Lets hope not. I'd rather see Jason Kidd get it if we're just going to give it to whoever.

If we're talking about who will actually deserve it, MARK JACKSON

Maybe, but the expectations are high for the Clippers. If they don't win the Pacific and a minimum of 60 games, I don't see Doc getting it. The team has to do better than it did under VDN for Doc to win.

Nah Shump is winning. You're just mad.

Eh...

Just another lightskin with curly hair...nothing special

Uuuhhhhhh, yea, ok then

Knees will crumble before the all-star break..

Why would you take a random shot at Kobe like that?

Um Kobe injured his Achilles not his knees :rolleyes

My mistake, was reading an article on Danieal Manning's knew injury and crossed them up

Pau leaving LA regardless might as well trade him and get some future players. You're not getting Lebron. Settling for Melo or Rudy Gay (P might light ALL OF LA on fire ) is what average in the West? That Pau for Varejao and Waiters deal Bill proposed might be good.

Lakers need to get their management in check first before ANYTHING! And let's be real, Pringles is not leading anyone to a championship. Like Bill said again, look at Dallas *shrugs*

Magnum wrapper joke

This man just hit you guys with some truth. I told my brother about that trade, and he said he could live with it, even though he hates Dion Waiters.

I agree with you 100% But if the deal goes down the Grizz will heading backwards which is kinda sad that had the team before trading Rudy to compete for a Ring real talk. But Money issue in the front is holding them back...

Yea, they will still be highly competitive but not sure if a championship would be likely by moving him. At the same time, its about matchups and with better ball movement, shooting, allowing Conley/Gasol more touches, increased pace and maintaining their high defense intensity, they have a chance. Simply dropping ZBo and getting nothing in return is a no-no though.

:wow: they can get waiters & side show bob for pau...do it mitch

Andy got injury problems and Waiters is Jamal Crawford esque, not a big come up if you're LA and Pau can end up balling out playing next to Kyrie and his old buddy Yolo (if he actually plays)

Lakers might do that, but the only problem is.

Mike Brown doesn't eem know how to use Pau, why give up a good young prospect for someone who wouldn't even be utilized. Plus Tristan Thompson is probably going to play well this year. I just don't see the cavs giving up on a good young prospect for Pau.

How is Pau's value still that high? If they can get AV and Waiters for Pau, ZBo should be able to get Memphis the same damn thing.

Lamar Odom Reportedly Meets with Lakers About Potential Return to LA

BY ZACH BUCKLEY (FEATURED COLUMNIST) ON OCTOBER 15, 2013 10,123

For the first time in a long time, there is basketball-related news to report on embattled free agent Lamar Odom.

According to TMZ, Odom has been working on a return with his former employer, the Los Angeles Lakers:
Our sources tell us Lamar met with Laker execs Monday afternoon to discuss terms of a possible return. We're told things went well -- though nothing's been signed -- and that Lamar's first choice has always been to return to the Lakers.
The last time Odom suited up for the Purple and Gold, he secured Sixth Man of the Year honors while posting a career-best 19.4 player efficiency rating during the 2010-11 season. A versatile big man, he's capable of changing games on both ends of the floor and anywhere in between.

But that's assuming he's at his best.

His basketball reputation was battered over the last two seasons.

Miffed by his inclusion in a trade that would have sent Chris Paul to the Lakers, Odom demanded a trade and was eventually dealt to the Dallas Mavericks prior to the start of the 2011-12 season. In Dallas, he posted career lows across the board before abruptly leaving the franchise prior to the end of the regular season.

He spent last season with the Los Angeles Clippers. While he managed to play all 82 games, his scoring was lower than it had ever been (4.0), and his field-goal percentage stayed beneath 40 for the second straight season.

Off the floor, Odom's reputation has been tarnished even more.

In August, he was stopped for suspicion of DUI. This came just days after ESPN reported that Odom's friends were trying to get him help for a drug problem. A rehab stint followed shortly thereafter, but People reported that he was in and out of the facility in about 24 hours.

A source close to the situation told Jen Heger of Radar Online in late August that the Lakers would welcome Odom back to the franchise if he was willing to go to rehab:
The Lakers are a family and even though Lamar isn’t currently on their roster, that doesn’t matter, he’s a two-time championship Laker. Lamar needs to go to rehab and he’s been told by the team that if he goes and completes treatment, there’ll be a spot for him.
Despite the reported offer, Heger's source said Odom had been hesitant to accept the deal:
Lamar is really resisting rehab, even with the Lakers’ offer on the table. He doesn’t want to miss training camp. Lamar thinks he can kick this on his own. It’s very hard for him to admit that he needs help.
TMZ later reported that Odom said he'd been sober for nearly a week and didn't need rehab to maintain sobriety. Odom reportedly didn't rule out the possibility of getting professional help, but would only accept the assistance in private and not in a rehab setting.

If he can find his footing with the Lakers, his basketball story would have come full circle. He broke into the NBA with the Clippers, then enjoyed a wildly successful seven-year stay with the Lakers.

He'll need his personal life in order before he can ever get back out on the hardwood, but if that's happened, this could be a lifesaving relationship—for Odom and the razor-thin Lakers.
