The bulls are so undeserving of a playoff spot, it's not even funny

i would rather see the bulls than the knicks in the playoffs

If they cancelled the East playoffs and gave it to Miami I wouldn't be upset. I Dont care to see anybody from the East besides the Heat
Just the Bulls are undeserving? Most of the East is

Shoulda just thrown Miami in to the West seedings and kicked out the Mavs

Woulda been:

SA vs MEM

OKC vs GS

LAC vs POR

MIA vs HOU

Watching Wall and Beal thrive is great man, Wiz are probably my second favorite team.

Oh and they winning next round too. Miami vs Washington in the ECF

Why is the East so bad??
And why have they been so bad for so long?
Poor management is a big reason.

But honestly, it seems like we're in an era where more great franchise players happen to be in the West, just from pure luck.

The Spurs lucked into Duncan, OKC with Durant, the Mavs got Dirk (though Milwaukee actually traded him on draft day for Tractor Traylor so maybe that proves a point :lol )

Let's say Duncan, Dirk and Durant by chance had landed on Eastern Conference teams. The balance of power would be a lot different than it is now, whatever teams those guys are on would have become contenders for sure.

How so? It's not like they squeaked in as an 8 seed lol

True. But they're relatively horrible to any team in the west pretty much.. Phoenix would murder the bulls In a 7 game series.

The general theme of this story is: The east (not talking about heat) is very bad. And the west is very competitive.

And the Heat by record would be tied with Houston and Portland for the 4th and 5th seed at 54-28

And if they played in the West, therefor playing all the West teams 4 times instead of 2, and all the East teams 2 times instead of 4, they could have been a 6th or 7th seed

Hopefully Bulls get swept and that spurs the front office to make some moves and rethink their strategy of signing scrub players year after year.

Not even surprised at lance. I heard he once squared up and threw a punch at his opponent in HS because he got dunked on. I see he still hasnt changed much.

Luck & questionable GM decision making.

#1 seed in the west is anchored by a guy that Boston tanked the '97 season for. View media item 933731 Then the guy almost left San Antonio for Orlando to team up with McGrady & Grant Hill.

But he stayed in San Antonio & Grant Hill's injuries made him a shell of what he was. McGrady was later traded to the west. Then they drafted Dwight years later. Only to trade him to the West too.

#2 seed in the West hit home runs on 4 consecutive first round picks. Drafting the likely league MVP, a perennial all star, the 6th man of the year who turned out to be a max player when given big minutes, and a perennial DPOY contender.

The Blazers' dynasty hopes were railroaded with severe injuries to Roy & Oden. Years later the New Jersey Nets inexplicably traded their 1st rounder to Porltand in exchange for Gerald Wallace, who was an expiring contract so the Nets could've just waited & signed him in the offseason if they wanted him that bad.

Portland used the pick on Damian Lillard, who went on to win rookie of the year.

The top 7 picks in the '09 draft were all Western Conference teams. Blake Griffin, James Harden, & Steph Curry all went in that top 7.

Steph Curry went #7 & would've likely gone to the New York Knicks at #8 if GSW had picked someone else.

Kobe has played an integral part in the Lakers last 5 NBA championships. He was picked at #13, and that pick was originally owned by an Eastern Conference team.

Stuff like that is why the West has been deeper for a while.
