Pretty much because of the higher value of 3pt shots l. A guy shooting 38% from 3 is more valuable than a 50% mid range shooter on the same volume easily.


It's up to coaches though, guys like Spo see how the game has changed and move accordingly.

dirk, kobe, and wade have had great success as mid range jump shooters. i know the stats say otherwise, but i wish more players mastered the mid range game.

That's my point though. That's why less people are shooting it. You get the same production shooting 40% from 3 as you do 60% from midrange
