All this or the board of governors can just vote to remove his ownership (which they are).The league doesn't have to schedule any of their other 29 teams to ever play against the Clippers. Or let the Clippers be a part of their conferences, draft or playoffs. It doesn't have to advertise the team, share revenue, schedule the team for national games, share TV money or allow any of its teams to trade players with the Clippers.
Donald Sterling owns all the trademarks, leases and contracts, and a huge chunk of the profits, but a part of buying into the league meant giving the league the power to kick you out, if what? 22 of the 29 other owners vote against you? And you get to pocket a billion on your way out.
