Or say during a lockout an owner talking negatively about what basketball players would be doing without the NBA?


I think the owners felt backed into a corner and that's why he got the ban hammer.

...and? Each of those situations would be different and dealt with differently.

I don't agree with the mindset that doing the right thing in a given situation is always a "slippery slope" for some hypothetical unrelated situation.
