Y'all saying Harden isn't the 4th best but who is?

He's definitely the best SG that's for sure

Harden not that good yet. At all.
James Harden is not the 4th best player in the nba

oh ok. well these 200 experts say otherwise and, correct me if i'm wrong, but i would assume they have a little more knowledge than you guys.

i thought it was universally known that espn lists are a joke and shouldnt be taken seriously

i dont mind the argument that harden is the 4th best player in the nba but an espn list is not good evidence

James Harden is not the 4th best player in the nba

James Harden is not the 4th best player in the nba

James Harden is not the 4th best player in the nba

James Harden is not the 4th best player in the nba

so are yall going to offer any contrasting opinions, throw another name into the mix, or just throw a statement out there and leave :lol

dont like harden at all but who would you guys put ahead of harden?

imo after bron durant and cp3 (possibly rose) the 4-12 players are about the same

I don't see what's wrong with that. Once you get past LeBron, Durant, and CP3 it's wide open. He certainly needs to improve defensively but he's already one of the best offensive players in the league and he's just 24 and still getting better.

this. how many players after those can you say, oh well he's for sure better than harden no questions asked. arguments can be made for plenty of players i'm sure, but there isn't any locks on there

Rose is pretty clearly in that top 4, imo. He recently had an MVP season. But with people not knowing how he'd look prior to the preseason, I could understand ranking Harden above him.

But in 1-2 months I don't think anybody's gonna be saying Harden is better than Rose, outside of Houston fans.

Right, I mean Tony Parker has a case but he's on the wrong side of 30 now, healthy Rose has a case but I'll wait to see how the knee looks first, healthy Dwight has a case but it remains to be seen if he'll return to his 2011 form. I don't think anyone besides Bron, Durant, and CP3 are clearly better than Harden right now.

To touch on the Smoove discussion, love the defensive energy and ability but him at the 3 is a recipe for disaster. His shot selection is horrid at times taking low percentage three pointers, when that's clearly not his forte.

when picking top 5 players i'm picking franchise, #1 option on a contender, first ballot HOF type players

Ex: lebron, durant, cp3, dwight, rose

Just watched the Grantland on the Grizzlies, surprisingly they have all been pretty much on point. But they did make a few good observations about the Grizz :
- how is Tony Allen a starting 2 guard in the NBA, a sixth man yes, but a shooting guard that can't shoot
-mike conley is not an all-star guard, nor one of the best four point guards in the NBA
-if Z-Bo is not in shape -- it can be a rapid decline because of the type of game he plays
-still have not addressed the backup point guard position, and Bayless is not the answer...

only thing the rockets would trade asik for would be a solid #4. i'm hoping we can nab aldridge at some point this season. kevin love would be awesome, but a lot less feasible.

i don't think we could even afford it to be honest. i'd rather pick up a guy similar to brandon bass to play the 4.

anyway the nuggets & rockets get on the same pg?

rockets gets ace hood jr

nuggets get asik

actually no why did i type that :lol

Asik for Millsap seems beneficial for both the Hawks and Rockets.

I've seen a lot of Rockets fans post "let's get Lemarcus, let's get K Love" over the past few months. And people wanna say Laker/Knick fans are bad in that regard...

i'd say for one it's because daryl morey has been known as the guy who stacks assets to make a trade for a star. wouldn't be farfetched to see him make a big deal for one of the two, i just don't think it's possibly without completely handcuffing the rockets financially

the rockets and blazers did have some discussions about a trade around the time we got dwight though. if we did end up with him somehow, i don't know if we could keep the rest of the team solid like it is. parsons still needs to get paid after this season as well.

Talking about trading asik like camby and greg smith are serviceable backups smh

More serviceable than starting DoMo at the four

He doesn't play any defense or do anything particularly great outside of score. Which he doesn't do at any outstanding efficiency.

Not to say he won't be top 5 and isn't a franchise player. But he isn't top 4 today.
