2013 College Football Thread (Realer than Real Deal Holyfield -->S/O Craftsy)

ESPN’s SEC Network, which debuts on August 21, 2014, is planning its own version of ‘College Gameday’ and has settled on three names: Rece Davis (an Alabama grad) would be the host, the voice of the South Paul Finebaum would play the role of Lee Corso, and Tebow would be the show’s Kirk Herbstreit. A source says ESPN is currently searching for another former SEC athlete to fill the final spot.
Tebow is said to be in negotiations with the SEC Network, Fox Sports and CBS Sports, and each are essentially willing to revolve or change current shows around the former Heisman-winning quarterback.

Finebaum AND Tebow?! Unbearable.

I wasn't impressed with Missouri at all. Out of A&M's 4 losses, they were by far the worst team we lost to.

Missouri caught Georgia when they were crushed by injuries, and lost to SC.

FSU would roll Missouri.

Man there have been so many rumors with the USC and UCLA staffs today :lol

Sark and Mora trying to take coaches away from each other already, recruiting will be very interesting

Well, it's more like Sark trying, and Mora hiring someone that Kiffin probably shouldn't have fired when he was head coach.

And from what I've gathered, Klemm isn't going to USC.

I don't see how this statement is of any relevance....

As it stands Missouri has played 2 ranked opponents... They lost one of those games at home in which they were favored and leading by 17 in the second half.

As it stands Auburn has played 3 ranked opponents... Got pimp slapped in one of those games by LSU.

Keep trying though sweetheart, it's cute.

He rides tOSU's nuts like no other, Urban and co. must've smashed his sister, pay him no mind

You missed the Tee Martin rumors?

agreed on Klemm

edit: on KP, I think the RBs having been developing much better under Robinson, but KP will be huge for recruiting.

I heard that Tee was asked about whether he would be staying with USC, not that UCLA was poaching him. Don't know for sure though, so I'll take your word for it if that's the case.

I heard about Robinson being responsible for the development of the RBs. From what I've read, KP is a big reason a lot of the talent was convinced to come to begin with, so there's that. Frankly, we haven't had any issues with our running backs performing when they're healthy, we've even been able to have our defensive players work there on occasion.

Umm... at that point Florida had played 5 ranked opponents (so Urban was wrong/lying) and they were all in the SEC and they lost to one of them. They played an OOC schedule of Southern Miss, UCF, and Western Carolina.

When you consider how overrated the SEC of the mid 2000s was, and how it led to those rankings, it's the exact same scenario, except this time it's 2 unbeaten BCS teams vs. 1 bcs and 1 mid major.

How is this not relevant?

How y'all gon sit up here and say Mizzou shouldn't get any credit for beating a decimated UGA team but say they can't use not having James Franklin as an excuse for losing to South Carolina?

What kinda sense does that make?

Everybody's all Iron Bowl'd out but I thought this was interesting....

Alabama has not beaten an Auburn team that had at least 9 wins coming into the Iron Bowl since 1994.
