2013 College Football Thread (Realer than Real Deal Holyfield -->S/O Craftsy)

You also didn't see the hype with Mora or the staff he was putting together lol

Mike was not happy with that hire.

And the rumor resurfaces a month later:
http://espn.go.com/college-football/team/_/id/26/ucla-bruins"]
The University of Texas has expressed strong interest in UCLA coach Jim Mora as a possible replacement for Mack Brown, and the two sides have had conversations, sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Do it Steve!

Maybe instead of focusing on these non starter rumors about Mora you should post all the good news surrounding USC lately?
just got a hell of an o line coach :hat

You guys serious with this we don't get good coordinators nonsense?

Miami has been a pipleline of great assistants and coordinators. Only exception was Randy Shannon was just a terrible evaluator of coaches hiring Pat Nix, Whipple, Lovett, etc.

Schiano, Chud, Mark Stoops, Chuck Pagano, and Cristobol were all coaches here in the 00's.

Golden hired Fisch, who then left to become an NFL OC. Hired Cristobol who left for a promotion at Bama. Coley left FSU to come here for the same position and he certainly didn't take a pay cut.
That was all in the 00's. Since then, we really haven't had any coordinators to brag about.

Coley took this job because he got paid more (which i agree) and because he finally got to call plays.

Cristobal left to Alabama to be the O Line coach. He was the TE coach and Associate head coach.

We've had more whiffs at the coordinator position with 3 head coaches.

Jedd Fisch just left for an NFL coordinator gig this year.

That bad huh? Urban doesn't believe in it? That's strange to me that it's effort like that from a program like tOSU being coached by Meyer.

Haven't watched a lot of the Buckeyes this year is why I'm asking.

I was probably being too harsh. I've never faulted this team's effort. They play hard. Lack of talent at LB outside of Shazier has really hurt. The defense has been a lightning rod for Ohio State fans the past two seasons...a lot of people frustrated with Fickell as the DC.

I'm still trying to stop laughing at how this commentator really said Miller was the best runner this season, including running backs.
