2014-15 Lakers Season Thread (21-61) KAT

Sorry I haven't been posting. Was out and trying to catch up on the game.


Things I saw
1. Kobe looks good. Getting to the hoop will come as he gets back into the swing of things. His defensive ability isn't great, but his effort is better than usual
2. I hate whatever Byron is having Julius do on offense. Just standing around.
3. Boozer actually looks good. Buttttttttttttttt as a 20 minute backup.
4. Hill can still rebound. Can do very little of everything else.
5. I love Ed Davis as a backup big

As for the team as a whole. If we were judging just off of what a successful team needs:
1. The biggest thing is someone else who could take some of the scoring load. Just not enough guys who can score. Swaggy will help, but he's a bench player
2. Rebounding. The defensive rebounding is horrible.
3. A defensive presence on the perimeter.
4. Someone who could throw their hands in the air and at least protect the rim.

I.e. If the $9mil of Nash was Luol Deng, and the $9mil of Jordan Hill was Omer Asik... We're a .500 team, and not a 25-32 win team.

Randle showed great flashes in preseason but you knew it'd still ake time in the regular season.

Seems like Byron is using him less in an attempt to win the game though, so that's not helping how he looks today.
