2014 NBA Draft Thread

just like scott brooks, his best player hid his weaknesses as a coach & that cleveland offense was terrible during the bron era
The offense wasn't terrible, it was just tailored to focus on defense, kinda like Coach Thibs and the Bulls (when Rose is healthy).

IQ is what separates Jabari from Beasley.
Off the court IQ

Stop it, in key moments their was no motion in the offense just lebron iso at the top & wait for a double or take his man 1 on 1, tailored to focus on defense is a terrible cop out

Umm thats's be they only had LeBron! The 2nd option was Mo Williams, who was role player previously before coming to Cleveland and a spot up shooter. You can't blame a coach for lack of talent on the roster. Scott Brooks has KD, Westbrook, and at one point James Harden, and still couldn't close out games. Mike Brown, had back to back 60+ win seasons. LeBron is one of the all-time greats, but he's not winning 60+ games with just any average coach.

I would really like to know how many of you commenting on these player have actually watched them play more than a handful of games this season.

Some of the stuff spewed in here is :lol :{

Sometimes I think about making a fake draft prospect and get a bunch of NTers in on it to hype the guy up and call him a "sleeper" and "break out" player, just to see how many people pretend to know the guy and comment on him.

NBAdraft.net is great with keeping up with trades and still has a nice database for eligible draftees. That's more what I use it for. Don't take their comparisons too seriously but they do other things decently.

To be honest, those draft express videos are almost all you need. From there, you can make your own evaluations. Will his strength translate to the next level? Can he improve on his weaknesses? Are his weaknesses the kind of stuff that'll make him fail or just be a minor detail? DX doesn't really make any crazy conclusions like NBA Draft does. They're normally outrageously conservative and just let the film/stats/scouting reports speak for themselves.

:lol pretty much

I mean, I'm not a regular in the CBB thread and don't get to watch as much as I would like.. so for guys I'm not really familiar with.. I'll try not to make outlandish comparisons or act like my analysis is 100% factual :lol It's okay to say "I don't know a lot about this guy"

Considering a role where he was actually the star player, and not playing a mario chalmers esque role. The kid shoulda never been in college.
