Here's why I'm optimistic...
1. Felton single handedly lost us around 3 games
2. Woodson single handedly lost us about 10 games. Roster sucked, but Woodson set everyone up to fail. He made them look worse. He magnified our weaknesses.
3. The triangle gives a role to all of the mediocre players (JR, shump, bargs). So no more standing around Melo please save us.
4. NO MORE SWITCHING ON EVERY DEFENSIVE PLAY!!!
5. You know all those wide open passes Felton got from Melo being double teamed, well with Caldo's 50-40-90 i'm willing to bet most those missed 3s go in.
6. Amare played AMAZING the last couple of months (no not relying on him).
7. We have a much deeper roster now with many bigs that can come in and play their role. Instead of Tyson playing 35 min.

Basically... how good Lebron will make the Cavs remains to be seen. Early struggles to start the season... figure it out by all-star... end strong. Chicago all depends on Rose... if he's healthy, they're the number 1 seed. Indiana? What happens with Lance.. do they figure out how to be a great team again.. does Hibbert get out of his funk?

IMO the gold "championship" mark on the collar of the jerseys is stupid.
