It's funny how Lebron's been a good to great shooter for at least 4 years but people refuse to accept it. He's shot over 40% and 37.9% from 3 the last 2 seasons. People back off of him because a jump shot from even the best shooter in the world is a lower % shot than Lebron's FG% at the rim (damn near 80%). He's taking tough shots too.

exactly. "oh, but they're gameplan was to let him shoot from the perimeter!"

yeah, because they know if they press up on him, he's probably beating the defender to the rim for a much higher percentage shot.

would you rather him shoot 40-50% from mid range, or 70-80% from the paint?

he's a good enough shooter at this point to shake the label that he can't shoot.

Hasnt Bron improved his shooting every year since entering the league?

Maybe I'm thinking about someone else lol

Saw this on Twitter...

Mavs' off-season: Dirk, Parsons, Devin Harris, RJeff, Aminu for $28.5M next year.
Lakers' off-season: Lin, Boozer, Jordan Hill for $28.2M next year.

:x

And yet the end result will be the same, nowhere near the chip.

I think Dallas Spurs and OKC are an equal threat at a Trophy next year. I'd say Clippers being another year older would be in there but...this Sterling ordeal will run Doc off before the season hits AllStar break

Where any team finishes in the West isn't necessarily indicative of what kind if run they will/can make in the finals.
I think we'd all agree the West 1-4 seeds all have a decent shot.

the mavs aren't as good if not better than memphis, houston, portland, golden state? the 4 seed (houston) and the 8 seed (dallas) were only separated by like 4-5 games. to think dallas can't be a top 4 seed is stupid

NBA source tells Globe that Ray Allen is leaning toward returning for 19th season and joining LeBron James with #cavaliers

Don't know if it's already been posted

Why won't this guy just go away already. :|

Very closed minded to assume with conviction that the Mavs won't crack a 4 seed.
To me though, a West seed has little to know importance outside of Homecourt Advantage.

dirk can't put the team on his back again like he did in 2011, if someone says parsons will be the answer to that i swear

mavs were lucky to get in last season imo.

and that was last season. going into next year are they better or worse? if you think worse, i strongly disagree.

Seeding is important because it determines Home Court Advantage

All the higher seeds in the West advanced last season

The Mavs could be better but they have mainly acquired borderline washed dudes besides Parsons

The teams ahead them last season should be better because those teams stars players are ascending

A lot of people in this thread agree that Dallas is no better, possibly worse now, than last year.
Something about Felton and a Busted Chandler(Tyson).

Wasn't Houston a higher seed though?
Not sure, I'm asking.

And Houston being a higher seed that lost but...every other series went 7, and could've have went 7 in favor of the teams that lost.

GSW had Clippers on the ropes.
Grizz might have did OKC in if not for ZBo slapping Adams.
Spurs were on the ropes.
Portland whopped up on Houston pretty much, and were a lower seed, for sure I just looked
