New system, new coach, deeper team, better PG, growth of THJ = same record as last year
They had a complete rebuild (System, coach AND roster) in a deeper Eastern conference, than last year.... the same record for the Knicks, isn't a farfetched idea

My brother and I were talkin' bout Greg Oden in light of his recent troubles,

and he pointed me to Oden's instagram...

Same core besides felton & tyson, plus a new coach, i wouldnt call that a rebuild
8 of the 16 players were not on the team last year, including 2, possibly 3 of the starters, a first year rookie head coach, complete new playing system, and a front office thats's under it's first FULL NBA season. If that's, not a rebuild, IDK what exactly is.

So y'all gonna use last years Knicks team as a means for assessing this year's Knicks team when half of the team was hurt last year?

The knicks were never truly healthy last year. They get good health, combined with the triangle, they'll at least be a 6th seed next year. I guarantee it. Calderon, Melo, JR, Stat, Bargs, man that's a playoff team if they stay healthy.

Jeremy Lamb is becoming NT's slandergoat for the upcoming NBA season....didn't see this coming but let it proceed :lol

Gotta leave the last 2 out the convo... Amare and Bargnani are washed.

They aren't washed, especially Amare. Amare was productive for NYK when he was on the floor. Very solid. Bargnani isn't washed either, again if he stays on the floor he provides at least some scoring on the offensive end. Neither play D though which is obviously an issue.

Amare being solid and productive has nothing to do with him being washed. He signed for crazy amount of money expected to lead the team along with Melo. After a number of injuries, he is now reduced to a 'solid' player. Compared to what he used to be? He is definitely washed.

Bargnani played a total of 106 games over last 3 seasons. His production was never that great in Toronto, and in last 2 seasons, it dipped down even more.

If both guys can miraculously bounce back from their countless injuries and play like an all-star and a No.1 pick, great. I highly doubt they can play to that level, hence I call them washed. Can they still be solid role players? sure. Still washed, though!

The Hawks lost their best player, had consistent injuries, went on a 1-14 game streak in Feb/March which the only team they beat were the Knicks, followed a week later by a 1-7 stretch leading up to the playoffs which almost screamed (TAKE OUR SPOT!!) and the Knicks still couldn't manage.

My faith in them is supposed to come from where?

José Calderón is 32 and has only played in at least 70 games, 3 of his 10 seasons in the NBA

Amare is Amare, productive at times, however he is injury prone and a shell of himself

Bargnani shot a career worst 27.8% from 3, in which stretching the floor is one of his strengthens

JR is one of the most inconsistent player in the NBA, ranging from hot to cold, at WEEKS at a time

Outside of Melo and Hardaway Jr., the Knicks are FAR from a sure thing. Injury free is already a lot to ask for, but consistency is a WHOLE different concern.

Shoeking is one of the only non Knicks fans to be honest about their future instead of just saying random ****. No "fat melo doesn't pass" or "amare's a bum".

Good **** :smokin

You have no faith based off last season when its about to be a whole new season

Makes sense

How are the Hawks boring as we enter into this next season? They're about the antonym to that, considering all of the returns and unknown variables.
