Why 2 years? The next TV deal will make his following max contract even more glorious.

The plan is to re-sign with the Cavs after his contract is up in 2016 when the TV money kicks in.
The opt-out is in there as a fail-safe. He values having flexibility (and putting pressure on ownership/management).
That's one of the rare things I got right during this offseason.
