2014 NFL Draft Thread

KCs 3 was upgraded to a 2 when the Chiefs won 8 games.

That's real? Damn, that's a nice come up, I'll edit.

Yup, right now the Niners have:
Round 1 - (their pick)
Round 2 - Pick 24 (#56 overall) (Chiefs)
Round 2 - (their pick)
Round 3 - Pick 13 (#77 overall) (Titans)
Round 3 - (their pick)
Round 3 - (comp pick for Dashon Goldson)

So yeah... 6 picks in the first 3 rounds. :hat

Would love for the Niners to get Cooks from OSU and Buchanon from Wazzu.

What if they grab Easley and stash him? 8o

Whoever has been making these moves for the Niners deserves a raise. Along with those draft trades they got Quan for basically nothing.

I think Sammy goes first no matter what, but if he does something stupid at the combine, just ridiculous type ranges, and his body of work this year, his height, etc, a team might just take him ahead of Sammy. All depends on the team. If the team already has a decent 6-0/6-1 type WR, but doesn't have that 6-5 type target, maybe they pass on Sammy for KB.

If they have nothing at wideout, Sammy would be the safer play.

Say Baltimore. Maybe they think Torrey Smith at 6-0 is fine but Benji gives them a new dynamic. No need to take Sammy along with Torrey.
Whereas Carolina might be lookin to fully replace what Steve Smith has given them to pair with Cam for years to come, so they take Sammy instead.

I think Evans could jump Watkins

Robinson, Lee, Benjamin are all potential 1st rounders

he shouldn't pass over watkins. he's probably slower, and doesn't run clean routes. he's got a lot of polishing to do, but can't doubt his physicality

I wouldn't pass over him either but the scouts seem to LOVE Evans

I'm hoping Allen Robinson falls to the Eagles in the 2nd round; I watched every game and the dude is a flat out play maker with incredible hands

I won't even try to act impartial but the funny thing in this thread about people speculating whether KB or Evans going above Sammy is that aside from height, and Sammy is 6'1" so it's not like he's short, what do either have over him? I'm sure KB's numbers at the combine will be good but Sammy is fast as **** too. :lol

Sammy can also go up and get the ball too

As a pure receiver Sammy is better than both of them

Dudes a beast; Hack's gonna be good but he made him look better than he played this year

Hack would just launch Cutler bombs and Robinson would adjust and grab it like that last second play against Michigan
