If Fournier re-up's with Orlando...I wonder what that means long term for Hezonja. He's not going to settle for a reserve role long term.

I assume he went top 5 for a reason. It can't just be NT hyping him. An NBA GM thought he was worth it.

I hope I'm wrong but I see us getting blown out in the bay tonight.. The atmosphere will be charged and will make Blake, DJ, CP3 and Lance more emotional than they already are...and they don't play well once they're in their heads. I'll consider losing by 10 points or less a win. Again, I hope I'm wrong.

Kind of what I'm thinking too, but I hope I'm wrong.

And as I said in the Clips thread, I feel like the Clippers need to attack Curry on defense. Make him work a lot, possibly get him in foul trouble. Only way to stop him right now is for him to not be on the court. But we'll see. Seems to me though its been the trend over the last couple season for anticipated regular season match-ups to wind up being not very good games.

Yup, on this one i'm trusting the eye test.

If i'm wrong so be it.

But, when I look at mudiay I see a player who gets below the free throw line with regularity, and gets to the rim on occasion even if he's shown to be a poor finisher 4 games into his pro career. I think that'll improve as he gets longer in the tooth, and the fact that he's even getting to the rim and touching the paint is encouraging. He turns it over a ton, but he's taking risks which is good. His passing instincts don't appear to be as good as DLo's, but they aren't that far off.

In my personal opinion, I don't see it with russell. Sure he has the 4th highest usage rate on his team, but even in moments where he has the ball he looks unable to turn the corner on P&R and I legit don't think i've seen a venture into the paint for him at all this season. I think Mudiay, off of purely the physical, has far more of capacity to be a better defender, but a player that can cause real havoc in the league. Russell seems unable to break anyone down individually, and can't explode off P&R leaving him relegated to contested elbow jumpers. We'll see if he's crafty enough to mask his inabilities physically and get to certain spots on the floor as his career progresses because he will maybe become a marginally better athlete.

All that is exactly what I was getting at in my original post. Because of his better athleticism and slightly better size, Mudiay looks like he's more capable of getting to the rim and has more defensive upside. In fact, I think he has the size and quickness to be a very good defender at the PG spot. And, like you said, a lot of his turnovers are what I would call errors of commission, which I don't fault too much. He'll clean that up as he learns to read defenses better, etc. I'll take that over Russell's very conservative approach.

To quote John Wooden:

The person who is afraid to risk failure seldom has to face success. I expected my players to make mistakes, as long as they were mistakes of commission. A mistake of commission happens when you are doing what should be done but don’t get the results you want.

25 by the ******* hornets
didn't play the rook till garbage time

fred' s been ******* up :lol

we gotta do better
What were Rose's stats

single digits again... hes been draggin his *** too

lofting up those same lame *** threes instead of driving or taking 2-3 steps in for a easy shot.....

you think some of it is him finding his rhythm? Or do you think it's mental and he's playing more timid to avoid injury?

think hes not in full shape but hes just being lazy imo

standing around when he could be moving or cutting making shots easier for everyone... he will have good assist #'s but in single digits for points from sheer laziness shooting lazy jumpers or bad shots that could easily be shorter easier shots or drives to the lane for the foul & possibly the bucket too

Freeze setting himself up for the summer jam screen if D lo figured it out

I hope I'm wrong bro.

but I'm usually right unfortunately.

what is D.Lo ceiling? based on his zero athleticism, slow as ****, basic handles, meh shooting, solid vision, low iq....at this point he'd be lucky to turn into a conley or a cj watson.

i remember around the draft they said he'd be most likely to turn into a superstar. lmaooo. bruh. too many miss cleos

Im saying this without looking at the numbers but I felt like we did a pretty good job on Curry last year. And honestly, if we're gonna lose I'd rather make Klay, Draymond, and Barnes beat us instead of letting Curry go off for 20+ in quarter.

Is GS/LAC the most entertaining rivalry going right now? I can't remember the last time two good teams actually hated each other. Miami/Boston?
