Public outcry is why. I don't think tactically using the refs to your advantage is anything but a legitimate play. This isnt pulling the chair or hand checking
The turning of handchecking into a foul has made the NBA better. Can't be using your hands and forearms to ride people when they make a move man.

Flopping is a legitimate basketball play
Says the man who's team Manu is a member of.
One of the OG flop founding fathers before it became widespread

Exactly, handchecking isnt defense and pulling the chair can hurt people, those aren't basketball plays.

Blake been BALLING, But nobody wants to admit it though. :lol. Crazy how overlooked he is.

Blake out here averaging 30/10/5....with a killer midrange jumper, elite ball handling and passing. Nothing he can't do offensively for a PF except shoot the 3 ball. That would be downright unfair if he could hit the 3 at a 30-35% clip on a decent volume.

I'm schleep though.

I really think he can add the 3 too. With how improved his shot is overall, stepping back 8 feet or so and hitting fairly consistently shouldn't be a problem.

I haven't turned on KD. I can't ignore what I watched Russ do at the end of last season. Getting triple doubles at will. KDs 5-6 games back so far this year hasn't overshadowed that for me as of yet. His MVP campaign is old news now. Gotta give Russ his due until further notice.

KD breaking MJ's scoring record (most games getting his 30 in 3 quarters), while being a triple double scoring threat nightly, with the likes of Seflosha, Fisher, Perkins, and Caron Butler …at the PG/PointF position….all while holding down the top seed in the West

>>>>>>>>>>

RWB gunning for triple doubles with the addition of all the new Thunder players (Kanter, McGary, Waiters,Augustin, etc.) en route to not making the playoffs

if you can't rise above the day to day thrill of RWB, then I understand where you're coming from. Rise above, though

Flopping isn't a basketball play, though.

Your contrarian argument is flawed.

You can't say flopping is okay because it uses the refs to your advantage but then argue against pulling the chair, which is a clever basketball play using your opponents momentum against him.

If you don't like one, you don't like both.

hows is pulling the chair illegal or not a ball play.....
Didnt say it was illegal, what I said was I dont view that as a legitimate basketball play. Pulling the chair can hurt somebody man, you can't just do that and leave someone to stumble and fall with no support.

I hate seeing it man.

inb4 I'm mad because Karl Malone did it to Tim Duncan or something.

The difference is that with Flopping there is little potential for you to hurt the other person, whereas I don't think the same can be said of pulling the chair.

Idk man. I feel like Blake has maxed out his range to 20ft. Just doesn't seem like a fluid enough shooter to expand his range to the 3 line.

I could be wrong though. He's literally improved his game step by step every year. He's only 26. Blake at 28/29 could conceivably have a consistent 3-ball. Paul Milsap like. That'll be scary.

Speaking of Milsap, I never thought he'd reach this level as an NBA player. Thought he'd be a 14/12 guy. He's regressed as a rebounder and become a more rounded perimeter oriented PF. Crazy how his game has grown.

How many people have been hurt from getting the chair pulled from under them?

Yeah was trying to get his take on that . I don't see how pullin the chair isn't a basketball play but flopping is .

I legit can't believe guys are even mentioning KD/Russ in the same sentence. Like, I can't even acknowledge trying to compare the two is where I'm at with it.

no shots to Russ.

Just a sad day for KD

They're both top 5 players. The gap isn't as wide as you'd like it to be.

Always thought Millsap had a solid 18 footer, but you're right his transition from backup energy big to starting stretch four has been crazy to watch.

Russ at the end of last year was putting up numbers prime Jordan was. He's earned the comparison. I was once in the OKC should trade Russ for Rondo camp.

I've been hard on Russ before. It's not just his Mamba blood.
