2015 NY Knicks offseason thread, Los Almighty appreciation thread

JR's my ***** but my Wizards still had to get that W.

Shump can lead us in scoring and it'll mean nothing

Shumpert had a good game, but the offense looked really flat. Part of it is because we don't have someone to throw the ball to in the post. I believe this is why the team doesn't run the Triangle 100% of the time during games.

THJr had another bad game. I have a feeling Fisher doesn't like him, the same way Sn didn't like Shumpert. It's a damn shame if that's true, because it'll hurt his development. I'll give it 35 games until Knicks fans turn on him the same way we turned on Shumpert :lol

Hopefully DFISH makes it clear that they need to run the triangle and move the ball often rather than be stagnant

how the hell does Pierce outplay Melo?!
he was looking regular as ever out there

and when was the last time Stat had double digit rebounding?
or even more boards than points lulz

then again, this is what will happen when our shots dont fall.
the 2 wins, our shots were falling. tonight, a lot of shots looked short.
reminds me of the 2012-2013 season. live and die by jumpers smh

whats worse is that we're not protecting homecourt

We don't have players that put their heads down and go to the basket. We also don't have players who creates easy points. It seems like all the points we get are from difficult shots. It's exactly like the 2012-2013 season.

Pretty much. No one drives, or seems to be capable of doing so.We live and die by jumpers, and don't play good defense. I originally didn't think he'd be a good fit bc of all of the triangle system bs, but if there's any FA i want this summer it's Rondo. Idc if he can't shoot, he plays defense, rebounds, and he makes easy plays by driving to the basket. All our 9 of our guards and small forwards are outside shooters who don't drive.

Should have ended the game with Dalembert Acy Melo Shump and Larkin...it was no defense played the whole 4th quarter

Amare should never start again. Just doesnt feel right. He doesnt need to start to get his minutes

Why didn't Acy play tonight? We got killed inside by their bigs and couldn't rebound.

Amar'e trying to get waves? He was brushing his hair during the postgame interview.

Acy was dealin with a little injury. He was good to go but fisher probably thought we could win the game without possibly further aggravating the minor injury. Aside from melo chuckin , bad defense and bad turnovers we did alright

This Triangle offense can't be that hard to understand. I mean, it's not like Fisher got JR Smith doing trigonometry or some ****. He just needs to know when to cut and where to move.

I honestly think if we had a legit guy to throw the ball in the post, we'd get a lot more easier shots. It's hard to cut and move around in a motion offense when you got defenders not doubling inside.

There's this one part of the triangle called "The Blind Pig" when someone cuts to the top of the key or the foul line and he has the option to either shoot, attack the basket or swing the ball to the sides. Usually this opens up the baseline for a cutter or a corner 3. I only saw this happening 3 times tonight.

Melo needs to be more aggressive and demand the ball on the wing or top of the key. Jordan and Kobe did the most damage in the Triangle when they had the ball in those areas of the court. Melo has the ability to get the ball and create a shot for himself. If not, the other players need to be moving around to space the floor.

Offense looked terrible. It's never a good sign when Aldrich and Jason Smith are taking shots 4 to of the last 5 possessions.

Pierce: 17 pts on 10 shots, 0 TO
Melo: 18 pts on 23 shots, 7 TO

Thought we lost because Melo's pride tonight. He could have tried taking over as a facilitator when it was obvious it wasn't his night, but he kept forcing because of his personal battle with Paul ****** Pierce.

Fisher does not hate THJr., come on now :lol :{ Timmy needs to learn to fix his shot selection and defense before he's able to get meaningful minutes.

There were moments when the Knicks really needed some timely buckets and when Timmy checked in, he couldn't deliver. If he can't contribute even on the offensive end, he has zero value to add to the team. Until then, he will continue to develop from the bench.

At the end of the day, the Knicks weren't moving the ball in the second half, triangle offense or not. The offense was very stagnant coupled with a bunch of isos and bad shot selections.

On the bright side, I liked what I saw on the defensive end.

Yeah this was the worst iv seen Melo play in a long while, Nothing was working for him.

Man, that loss hurt. I thought after the 1st quarter, hell even going into half time I thought we were going to get the W.
