No. To simplify it -- with a 6 year deal, he'll be there when the Cubs make it back to the WS, because all their top prospects will be up and producing soon. Had to play a role in his decision. Cubs have been a team to watch and Lester only makes it more feasible that they contend with in the next 3 years.
