4 years at $23.5 million a year with a team option ($20 million) or vesting option ($24 million) for a fifth year.
Basically, team gets a discount if they pick up his option.
No way Howard gets thrown in, simply because we already have a first baseman. Amaro needs to find a taker in the AL.
