Archer did not have this in mind for opening day.

Happens every year.

Makes no sense cause the Cubs and Angels play a real game tomorrow :lol

The Pirates order is damn impressive, I brought up Freese's contract last year with the Angels and dude sort of continues to get underserved in terms of $ and production (not unique it's everywhere you just gotta look). He had his fourth straight year of 100+ hits last year, a career-high for doubles (27), second-most HR of his career (14 - 10 in 2012, 20 in 2013, 10 in 2014). But for some reason he had to accept a paycut from 1-year, $6.5 million with LAA in 2015 to the 1-year, $3 million deal he now has from PIT.

He's still an asset, stop this conservative BS with players like this and then giving giant deals to dudes like Pablo Sandoval who a couple years in doesn't even care that a complete no-name took his starting position at third. Meanwhile, Freese is manning the hot corner and hitting the same dartboard at the plate as past seasons and he's unable to get a hardline two-year deal with a team. It's sad people are just waiting for his fall-off.

Really excited for Starling Marte's next step whatever it is. He just turned 27; it's the year you'd think.

Anyone want to look back and find the last occurrence of a pitcher recording the entire league's first RBI of a season? I remember a lot of NL games as the league's Opening Game in the past decade so absence of a DH in those means it could have certainly happened before.
