That Kemp video :hat , class act right there.

Harvey continues to deal. Mets can't screw him up in the long run, can they?

This Yankee injury bug that we can't seem to squash is killing me >: .

We learned dland hates The Bison.

I'm okay with Trout and Harper. Argument can be made for Braun. Giancarlo? Maybe. No to Cutch and CarGo. I'd personally take Justin Upton over the latter two.

Cutch is extremely well-rounded. But everything Cutch can do, Matty can legitimately do better. Coors Effect for CarGo. Always felt he was overrated.
Is Matt Kemp The Bison?

Had no idea he had a nickname.   But to address your assumption about hating him?  I dont.  Even though he is a Dodger.  I dont hate him.  In fact, ever since I found out that he repped.....

.......I actually like him now.

And that video of what he did when he was in SF?  Awesome.

And maybe you are right about McCutchen.  Upon further thought, I'd take Kemp over McCutchen. I still got Cargo over Kemp though.  Better at defense.

Machado, 20, excelling as young star

For more than a year, baseball has been buzzing about the Angels’ Mike Trout and Nationals’ Bryce Harper, two transcendent young talents, the sport’s answer to Magic Johnson and Larry Bird.

Hit the pause button.

A third player soon might enter the conversation, if he doesn’t belong in it already.

Orioles third baseman Manny Machado, 20, is 11 months younger than Trout, and three months and 10 days older than Harper. Machado ranks ahead of both this season in the two most commonly used versions of Wins Above Replacement (WAR). And if he moves back to shortstop — a possibility once J.J. Hardy’s contract expires after the 2014 season — he could become more valuable still.

My dude Bohchado :hat :hat

My opinion:

Ryan Braun
Mike Trout
Andrew McCutchen
Bryce Harper

Giancarlo Stanton
Carlos Gonzalez

These are the players moving forward that I would say are better than Kemp.

I don't think most of these players are better than Kemp.

Kimbrel has been rattled since the WBC. He's reminding me of David Robertson from the Yankees. Kimbrel is obviously better but David got rocked one game two years ago and hasn't been confident since. Kimbrel is looking the same.

He's the best defensive SS since Jeter in his prime.

heh.

Come on now :lol

OF'ers better than Kemp?

Off the top of my head I would list Trout-Harper-Braun. Cutch is close but I'd put him behind him right now. LMK when CarGo learns to hit on the road. Another offensive product of Coors. I almost died laughing a couple years ago when people told me he was MVP.

How is Ryan Braun not better than Matt Kemp?

I mean, some of the other ones I could understand you crossing off.  But Braun?  Stop it.  Braun is superior at every aspect of baseball, aside from arm strength.

I think it's almost a wash defensively, but I would give the slight edge to Jones. Jones keeps getting better and better with each successive year. You could tell just by watching him that he still had room to grow and he's just now putting it all together. Ever since Kemp's injury last year, I've been nervous about him. His slow start this year doesn't help matters.

I agree that Matty and Adam are close defensively, but (call me biased) I give a slight edge to Bison in that department.

I do feel Matty will eventually have to move to LF to preserve his health and longevity.

I'd rank it: Matty, J. Upton, A. Jones.

Healthy Giancarlo > Kemp unless you place a ton of emphasis on playing centerfield.

6 straight game Jayson Werth hasn't played in coming up tonight. Glad we're paying him so much money :{ we can't have guys who are injured taking up spots on the bench, gotta put him on the DL.

Trout, Harper and Braun are the 3 guys I'd take before Kemp. I know Kemp has struggled a lot this year and Jones has looked very good but I would still take Kemp before him in a heartbeat.

Cargo has a higher batting average on the road this year then at home but I need to see more of that before I put him above Kemp.

Clutch is getting close. Stanton has all the talent but I can't judge him on that bum *** team. :x

Where the **** did this Bison nickname come from? :rollin I live in LA and have never once heard that in my life.

Started in 2006.

By Jon Weisman and Don Sutton.

Partially due to Kemp's roots in Oklahoma. Official animal of the state is a bison.

Also, major pause, but announcers called him a buffalo because of dude's size (and speed) running the base paths. Was adapted to bison shortly after.
