Yeah, 2 months more of a resume :eek the reality is Gattis is a one trick pony who can crush a fastball over the plate and hanging breaking balls. Sorry he isn't getting the hype you think he deserves because he's "El Oso Blanco". While Gattis has a nice story and I respect what he's overcome Puig is a game changer, Gattis is not. Gattis is a solid replacement level player who isn't in his natural position and contributes next to nothing on the defensive side of the game while also not providing any speed on the bases. Puig can hit, run, and throw. Everyone knows he can't sustain this amount of success, but by season's end he'll be boasting better stats than Gattis. At least that's what the cloud raining over my head is telling me.

"Solid replacement level player" is an oxymoron. Gattis has 1.9 WAR (baseball reference) through 48 games played. That's far from replacement level.

You're acting like your opinion is a fact :lol Just how you laugh at a 5 game hot stretch, I laugh at calling a 27 year old rookies first two months in the big leagues a "track record". I can process your two sentences that don't back up your point just fine. Results are results, and you're claiming Gattis is this superior player based off of his track record of two months. Puig is on fire, the book isn't out on him yet like it is on Gattis. If Gattis goes into a slump, he's worthless out there in the field. Puig has already showcased he's a difference maker in all facets of the game. And isn't a replacement level player exactly what Gattis is? He's only up here to spell Freeman and McCann versus lefties, but due to BJ Upton being pretty bad so far he's had to replace him in some games. And he's done a solid job of that. So you keep hoping and dreaming that Gattis can have more months like May and not April, because otherwise he won't be sniffing the ROY. Now the convo is over.

That's not a replacement level player.

Jean Segura and Carlos Gomez are solid up the middle for the Brewers. What happened to Rickie Weeks?

Resume>projections?

I love Gattis, but what is this resume you speak of? lol

48 games is a tiny sample size, and so is 5.

Both guys show promise of being productive players. What's the point of arguing A vs B here?

I said Gattis was the better player RIGHT NOW because he's been in the show for a little bit. That got twisted into me saying Gattis was first ballot. I thought it was common sense that player A producing steady numbers over months was > player B putting up numbers over days.

Kids read the text but been making up their own interpretations.

Replacement player, lol, oh god.

I'm sure 3/4 of the league would love him to replace their starter. He just happens to play behind an AS catcher in Atlanta. And to call him worthless without a bat is absurd. He's very good behind the plate. Out in LF is another story but he does have a highlight assist from out there.

Kershaw coming in to run for a hurt Hanley. Why in the hell would you even risk putting Kershaw out there as the tying run? SMH

Same thing I said. How you gonna put a top 5 pitcher in the league to pinch run? And with the dodgers recent luck, surprised he didn't trip, fall, twist his ankle and land on the dl with the rest of the team

Dog i don't give a damn....he's a legend but Jesus he needs to hang it up b....I was listening to the braves radio broadcast and even they were mocking him...well one guy was...it was pretty hilarious :lol

^ Now you know why I've been complaining all year. I watch this horse**** every damn day.

I'm positive 100% of the league would rather have Puig than Gattis...so...?

The only thing Gattis does better than Puig is clean toilets and even that I'm not completely sold on.

I can't for the inevitable slump that Gattis will hit and the eventual complete loss of playing time.

I swear I don't know how some people can be so blind to their own homer-ness.
