Baseball players also play 146 more regular season games than football players and are away from their families a lot more. Obviously baseball players don't take the physical beating football players too, but the baseball season is an absolute grind with fewer off days.

Much harder to actually make a lot of money, but a good way to get a college scholarship.
All my friends who played golf in HS all played in college regardless of skill level. Obviously not all at big name schools, but still played somewhere.

Bonds was an all time top 15 player ever. He would've been the founder of the 500 500 club regardless, should've had 4 straight Mvps but the writers didn't want to give it to him because he's a douche.

Their off-season's are pretty much equal IMO. Baseball runs from late February to September/October, while football runs from late May through January/February (excluding June). I guess in the NFL you're home every week after Sunday, but baseball players play 81 home games a year and also get the All-Star break to be with their families. I'd take the 162 game season, with less wear and tear on my body/brain, and more money over a football career. Especially since baseball money is guaranteed.

This seems like the easy choice, but I think the minors are what stop people from going all the way with baseball. Baseball is good, but only if you make it all the way and it's the only sport where getting drafted in the 1st round doesn't guarantee you entrance into to the league.

That's because kids don't understand stats like OPS and OBP. Bonds was a beast on the base paths and even better at the plate. Every sabremetric tells us that Bonds was better than Griffey.

Damn, just watched old highlights of jr's career. Almost brought tears to my eyes. I really wish I could go back to watch my favorite player play again. Ya bonds might of been better, but the kid never cheated and was a role model for all of us

Bonds was great. No arguments from me, but how do I compare stats when 35-42 year old Bonds increased his career batting average by 34 points compared to 21-34. Homeruns, walks, OBP, SLG all massively skyrocketed to obscene levels. OBP was helped by millions of intentional walks, but it wasn't necessary to do so if he wasn't hitting the ball out of the ordinary because talent + well you know the other ingridient.

I think most people think Bonds started juicing after 99 so I usually just count his stats until 99. Griffey started his decline in 99
