We've gone over it a million times in here. That narrative didn't exist until AFTER the season started. The Thunder were not viewed by ANYONE as a team that was devoid of talent. To suggest it is dishonest. That didn't happen until Russ started using more possessions than anyone ever. I'm not gonna keep going back and forth with you. Plenty of people in here have told you the exact same thing. You have been presented with data, videos supporting that data, yet here we are and you're still acting as if you don't get it. Ok. Cool.

In fact their Vegas over/under was 45.5 wins.

Rockets was 41.5

So going into this season Roberson and Kanter weren't viewed as one way players? Vic hadn't got demoted? The praise of the trade didn't come from the assumption he would be playing with Russ AND KD. And subsequent questions after KD left of how their backcourt would mesh given they both aren't good shooters? All of that was just made up huh?

Adams was expected to do more offensively given his playoff run that's true, but trying to dispute the rest is futile.

So who was #25 in that clip? 4th quarter, right?

Where the clips when Russ gave him two wide open looks earlier though?

They were both in the first minute of the 4th, and he made one of them. So why did Russ keep looking him off after that only to launch airballs? Doug got 2 open looks so that's enough and he shouldn't get any more?

Facts don't fit the narrative here.

*edit*

Just saw the Hawks have 77 FTAs and the Wizards have 50 FTAs. :smh:

No one picked the Thunder to win the Finals or even get out of the first round after KD left

The team simply isn't good enough to win a playoff series

OKC isn't good enough to win the series, but that doesn't leave Russ completely exempt from criticism of his play.  I don't think they should have won either game, but I think he should have played better to give them a chance.

the man was at 38 pts with a near triple double on 52% shooting at the end of the third quarter and they were up 12.... how much better do you want him to play. If a player has to put up a 40 point triple double for your team to stay in the game then we know how this will end.

After what Westbrook said after Game 1 idk how dudes didn't know he would come out straight chucking like he did. I'm glad he did

They were up 12 at that point before his disastrous 4th quarter, exactly.

OKC isn't good enough to beat Houston in a 4 game series no matter what though.

I'm not sure where you're disagreeing with me.

my question is if Russ shoots too much and his usage is too high i just want the alternatives to what would allow OKC a better chance of winning against Houston?

Would you rather Oladipo go one on one & try to create for his teammates?
Would you rather Kanter go into the post and Bang for a two?
Would you rather Russ not attack, and wait in the corner while the team moves the ball and misses the shots at the end of the clock?

All i'm saying is that Russ playing like this gives them the best opportunity to win, point blank this team does not have enough talent to keep up with one of the best offenses in the history of the NBA.

How many minutes did McNugget play in the 4th?

I'm assuming 0 since you said he was benched.
I said he was benched after getting 2 looks early. Don't remember much from him after that since obviously if he isn't shooting he's not impacting the game. Yea if you are going to have a specialist like him in the game you need to utilize him more.

We'll see how good this team is when Russ leaves and we have to start Semaj and Oladipo and whatever rookie we draft in the 20s. We need more shooters, who can play. I was on with the Illyasova for Grant trade minus giving them a 1st Rd pick too but it's funny stretch 4 is a need now when we traded him and obviously Ibaka is the prototype of that and we traded him for a guy whose best case scenario is an inefficient 18-20ppg and L's if he's your best player, Jr Smith/Nick Young minus the antics.

Adams best move offensively is setting a pick for Russ then rolling for that love. Other than that, spoon-fed him occasionally in the post just to keep him engaged but drop off passes where he can finish from the dunk spot are the extent of his ability to score

Dipo should be able to create, get to the rim, get to the FT line but for whatever reason he just stands around and watch. I been saying all year that he reminds of Odom with Kobe. He got the talent to be the 2nd guy but he play scared.

The fact that everyone is forgetting the last four years of Rondo based on these last two games >>>>>

He was tentative in Orlando too though.

Move the ball around quickly.  That's always the solution to better offense.  It literally doesn't matter who the players are.
