They really should have made the exception and just done it before this series... I would have liked to see the duel.


Not to mention, having it in June is silly because it opens them up to looking foolish for their selections. Coach of the year - possibly out in the first round. MVP - possibly out in the first round.

It's not going to make anything look foolish. They're all regular season awards. They shouldn't have moved them though that being said. 

They are regular season awards, but at least they will be forgotten once the playoffs start and finish up. If they say that Westbrook is the MVP, and he gets torched by harden this series, it will look foolish (or vice versa). It's just my opinion though.
