I agree that dude is definitely smug and condescending on top of being an Islamaphobe on the side but I was just saying you rarely ever see non-believers preaching whatever irl . It's just not that widespread at all

Nah.. I've found those who feel the need to identify themselves as atheists, also feel the need to attack those who do have some sort of faith

You're probably talking about "New Athiests" and those who have adopted combabatitive approach to their non-belief, I've met way more agnostics and athiests who just mind their own business when it comes to religious folk than those who love to **** on them and their beliefs.

I've definitely met the latter though and they're just as worse as bible thumpers imo but it's been rare.

It's hilarious to me, because I end up in arguments when simply explaining:

1) am I Roman Catholic.. not particularly religious.. but I am that

2) those are my views, which I am entitled to.. you are also entitled to your own views

3) because I have my views, doesn't make your views right or wrong.. neither do yours make mine right or wrong

4) I disagree with a number of things the individuals who share my beliefs believe.. I try to keep things simple and keep the overriding theme of caring for and respecting your fellow man

On a side note, I have a bigger issue with those in politics who are overly religious but then are against government subsidies for those less fortunate.. or do things that are clearly against some of the basic teachings in their religious denomination
